Just read a Detroit Free Press article that said he (the captain) has been speaking out off an on for years that the official account wasn't what really happened, but something he said recently makes detectives want to speak to him again. That and this new 3rd party they keep mentioning must have something worth looking at. What I don't get is the often repeated statements Wagner (and others) wanted it kept quiet right from the time it happened, before authorities were notified. From the standpoint of a family's privacy after losing a wife and mother, of course. But unless famous 'movie stars' get biased treatment from LA Sheriff's Dept., appears none of them were politically influential or well connected enough to wield any influence. This isn't the Kennedys and Marilyn. This unfolding story keeps bringing to mind a book I read long ago by Vincent Bugliosi, And The Sea Will Tell. His writing style is captivating. As opposed to Helter Skelter where he wrote from the stance of prosecutor, in Sea he defended one of the parties. There are central parallels in both stories; the sea, an island, a yacht, loss of life and a lot of unanswered questions, suspicions and a long period of time before new evidence appears. Though a bit sluggish during the trial phase, it's a good book if you like a nonfiction mystery. (Avoid reading Amazon reader reviews, there are spoilers.)

My daughters spent part of their childhood here in Spain where it was often customary to give the children a few drops of wine in a glass when it was being poured for the adults at the table. But it was diluted for them with a good squirt of the ever-present mesh-covered squirt bottle of carbonated water that graced most tables during that time. It was used for diluting drinks or drinking straight and was useful for moistening a napkin to mop off any food spills on your clothing while you dined LOL. If you see old photos of Europeans dining in restaurants or even at home pre-1970s you will often see the familiar mesh-covered sifon bottle on the table. I always had one on my dinner table. We would take the empty bottles back to the corner store and for a peseta or two (think cents) get a full bottle in return. (Now does that make me sound old!) This is one way I have made salmon and it was good. I'm accustomed to cooking with wine and wouldn't worry about serving this to children...but you could just give a small amount of the sauce if you were concerned. Here's how it looked when I made it: - Makes 4 servings. 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1 teaspoon dried thyme 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 4 (6-ounce) salmon steaks or fillets 2 teaspoons honey 3 teaspoons olive oil, divided 8 cups spinach leaves 1/2 teaspoon minced peeled garlic 2 cups red seedless grapes, halved 1/2 cup dry red wine Combine salt, mustard, thyme and pepper; mix well. Rub salmon fillets with honey and sprinkle with half the seasoning mixture. Heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil in a nonstick skillet. brown both sides of salmon fillets. Toss spinach and garlic with remaining 1 teaspoon oil in a 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Place salmon on spinach, cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake at 300°F for 10 minutes. Sauté grapes in skillet used to brown salmon. Add wine bring to a boil, season to taste with remaining seasoning mixture; reduce by half. Serve salmon on spinach; top with grape sauce. Julie,it's important to him, that's why I felt the need to do it. Every Christmas and birthday. He does go get my Valentine's day stuff though. I guess because it's more of a floofy holiday. I am not sure why he feels such pressure around gifts for me, I love everything he gets for me,because he got it for me. (Well,I was a little salty about the unasked for treadmill I got for Valentine's day a few years ago, but I got over it and love that as well. And he never knew I was salty about it,as I gushed over it and he was so proud of himself for thinking of it himself) He is forever asking me what gift he got me is my favorite. It is and always will be my beloved Sammy, God rest his little furry heart. He is still upset that none of the stuff I ordered for myself will be here for Christmas. I don't know why. Anyway, this morning I took a short nap then went off to get stuff to get through the next few days. Cat food for the beggars, lots of diet cherry coke,some frozen meals for work and a chicken and some brats for SO to grill tommorow. I also got SO a drone with a camera on it,though not the one I wanted to get,as they were sold out of it. I managed to sneak it in and wrap it without him seeing it. I put all the presents under the tree before I left for work. I also got a cute dog stocking and filled it up with his favorite sweets: turtles, peanut mms,kit kats, life savers, stuff like that. He always says I do too much but he is so good to me all year i love to spoil him for Christmas and his birthday.
