Comments (9)TEST RESULTS: The demo started out positively. I cut half of a potato using the larger blades. It was really just one down stroke. This would make nice (but short) french fries. Next I tried the smaller blade to make match stick fries. Using the smaller blade required brute force. Then the potato got and I couldn't get it out. The blades are sharp so I had to be careful. Here is the results from both It will do large julienne easily but not match stick size. I couldn't figure out how to dice; this is my attempt at . Bottom Line=Do Not click "add to my shopping cart"! Because I am saving you money and to recoup my investment, I would appreciate everyone sending me a dollar!! LOL I wish I would have tried the new Hamilton Beach Change-a-Bowl for about $10 more. Comments (7)I had to make a similar decision this year. My builder tried to talk me out of French doors for no reason that I could understand. It seemed that he just preferred to install sliders. But after trips to two showrooms and a home show, I insisted on Andersen outswing French doors, which were my original preference. IÂm happy with the result. They close securely, no drafts. (I live in New England.) With outswing doors I lose no space indoors. It was worth the extra money to have the ability to open both doors to the uncovered deck. Screens will probably be more expensive if you install outswing doors, and you need to choose them carefully. For inswing French doors, Andersen has an integrated set that includes the screens....See MoreLincoln 4 panel slider and french door?
Comments (2)We moved into a house that had Lincoln windows. Granted they were 30 years old, when we replaced the sliding glass door, it literally fell apart and away from the frame when they took it out. The windows were like ice cubes in the cold and we could have fried an egg on the tile floor in the summer. We replaced them with Marvin and our air conditioning bill was 2/3 what it was the year before. Heat has been similarly less so far as well....See MoreWill you help me make my bed (look nicer)?
Comments (40)I have one very similar, in a very pale green. I got it at ABC Carpet and Home in NYC, albeit maybe 10 yrs ago, if that helps at all. It has a great weight to it and yes, it was expensive. Maybe google "silk tasseled damask throw". Try Frette, Sferra, Peacock Alley, Yves Delormes, Bella Notte and/or places that carry them. Since the current look is more minimalist, you may be better off having one made. Damask on one side, silk on the other, with tassels. Sometimes called a bedscarf. Even Calico Corners could do that... you might even get lucky with a remnant....See MoreHomeSealed
