I come on here for advice and to share my experiences so that maybe something I went through and learned from will benefit someone else. Generally, when I come on this site, someone else has posted about a problem I am currently facing. So I generally have no need to post.

And it's really great to see that lots of people are going through the same things I am. As I am looking through the answers to people's problems, I am increasingly having a hard time finding advice that actually applies to the question at hand. I could scroll through 150 posts and find maybe 5 posts that actually contain advice pertinent to the poster's questions. It seems like there are more problems being caused by a situation than the poster is really having problems with. Some people give really great advice that is practical and realistic and on target with the poster's issue. But I feel like they are deterred from giving advice (as am I) because of all of the irrelevant stuff.

Do any of you feel like I do about this? I wonder if I'm the only one.
