yes sea monkeys are bine shrimp but not just any.Sea-Monkeys® are a unique species of brine shrimp, known by the scientific name of Artemia NYOS.There are several differences. Sea-Monkeys grow much larger (up to .5" long) and live longer than ordinary brine shrimp. They are also a lot more active and can be taught to perform "tricks", unlike ordinary brine shrimp.

You are entering the relm of genealogy - welcome - and expect "brick walls". When you reach a dead end in a data line, we call it a brick wall. It may take you a couple of years to get comfortable with the data searches. It helps when you understand a few practices. Many official sites try to protect people who may be alive and kicking, and will not make public data unless it is old. For example, the State of Illinois runs a data site [ref: http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com] that lists land patents, early marriages, and a few other selections. At one time, they did not post data unless it was 100 yrs old or more. I think that some newer data may be available for selected items. The Latter Day Saints, "familysearch" site, has a wealth of information. The problem is this information comes from sources volunteered by individuals and accuracy of this data is not assured. It may have come from a family bible which is pretty good, or it may have come from a frail memory and has errors. Sometimes, guesses or speculation get recorded. Your chore is to check this data for consistancy and against a second source where possible. It might help you to understand this data base if you look for its reason for existance - its is driven by a religious concept. If you are looking for live relatives, the chore can be daunting. What I suggest you do is to look for people who have the same interest. Join a forum where folks are searching for their ancestors who have the same surname as yours. Search the forum for a common ancestor, say a grandparent, and look for individual who are seaching for imformation on the same ancestor. These searchers may be a blood relative or connected to your blood line by marriage. When you discover a likely canidate, contact them and start a conversation to see if you have a common interest. A caution: Do be careful of scams. There are a few charalatans out there who are posing as someone who they are not; They are trolling for personal data. As you search, you may run into information that is not pleasant. Do not be put off if it happens. Sometimes, dead ends are purposefully created to hide an event. I discovered that my own mother was either cloaking information about her grandmother, or her psyche would not let her accept the truth. She did not outright lie, but withheld information and distorted what she knew. I also found that my grandfather refused to tell his children who their ancestors were. He only admitted to part of the family. Two generations back, his grandfather had married again after the first wife died. He fathered children by both wives so there were half brothers and sisters. Apparently, my grandfather would not pass information about his grandfather's half siblings. I don't know why, but it raises my suspicions. In my background, I have found wonderous things and some awful items. I found that I had 5 ancestors, all brothers, in the American Revolutionay War, A Captain in the Black War, a soldier in the Mexican War, and one Private in the Civil War. I found that 3 generations back, my forebears knew Andrew Jackson. My dad was in WW1. I also found a father killed by his stepson, and an birth by an unwed mother during the Civil War. These last two items were deeply hidden and brick walls surrounded the truth. Other types of brick walls that you may find are adoptions and children who were taken in and raised by an unrelated family. Social systems were lacking on the frontier and people cared for others in times of disaster. I found a couple who had young children. Their house burned and the mother was lost. The children were taken in by the wife's parents and raised as their own. You will find when you move back about 2 generations, that you begin to find people who did not read or write. People who can not write do not leave records in their own hand. Any record about them are entered by a third party. Often, this ends a chain of data. The data is where you find it! Court houses, land records, lists of county residents (tax roll), cemeteries, school yearbooks, etc.
