Did you notified HOA before doing any work and got a letter from them that it's ok to do the work? Around here, before any work is being done on the condo or townhouse involving HOA, you have to notify HOA on what type of remodeling you will be doing and if any exterior work is involved they provide guidelines which materials must be used, usually matching materials to have the same look as the rest of development. You cannot get a building permit also unless approval from HOA is submitted to the township So before ordering anything contractor had to make sure the doors were approved by HOA.

I know it may be difficult for some who are new in the business world, just remember… You are creating the quilt because you know what you’re doing. You are the professional. Acting like a polite professional give the customer confidence in you. Whatever time you estimate it will take you; add extra time to the promise date you give the customer. You won’t feel pressured because something comes up that caused a delay. (Sewing machine acts up, storm comes through and causes a massive power outage, etc.). Nobody complains on an early finish & delivery. Here’s an example of when the carbon copy worked for us. Customer wanted 24 hour turn around & paid extra, we finished and called him. Only to learn the number was not in service. Customer showed up 2 days later steaming & madder than a wet hen. After he quit ‘talking’, we showed him our copy. He had written the wrong phone number – correct area code, exchange from old house & last 4 numbers from new house. He apologized for his behavior.

I was in the same situation. My cabinets has a hickory veneer so I didn't find anyone that could make doors. So I'm going with aluminum frame glass doors for the reach-in pantry. They can make any height doors up to 80" I think. Some cabinet companies make doors too. But the brand we went with didn't make doors. Its the door version of this. Ignore the part on the right.

It's worth a try, but dont wait too long, or you'll get the whole 'already in production.' The worst that can happen is they say no, which is the same as if you do nothing. I'd try it.
