wood Scrabble tiles?

What can I do besides magnets with wood Scrabble tiles? I have a craft show coming up in November and I want to do something different.......

I just love your creations! You inspire me!

Do you seal your paint on your wood projects or do you not use wall paint to paint furniture?
I thought I could use oopps paint but most of it is not for furniture.

Thank you Bonnie and Luvs :) I used rice paper and some other decorative paper I already had for my collages. I used 3M glue to glue the paper down, then trimmed it close. I used my smallest drill bit to make holes. I already had all the findings( bails,jump rings,beads). I read on some sites to use Diamond Glaze...I have no clue what that is, I haven't looked for it yet, so I used clear nail polish! The ones I made last week seem to be holding up, my sister has been wearing hers.

Well, this is good to know. I play Scrabble with a friend who lives on the other side of the country! (WA) She and I play through e-mail. The site is Lexulous.....it's free. We have two games going now, and her friend in Florida is playing with us on a third game. It's super easy to set up, and fun. (I should have played this game for one, to practice with.) Thanks for the Literati site, I'll check it out.

We have out own special rules we call the "Oshkosh" rules. Grandma got a new Scrabble set years ago and a few pieces were missing. The company sent an entire new packet of letters, so several vowels and valuable consonants were added to the game. I've done the same thing by buying and old Scrabble game at a yard sales and adding many of the tiles to our old board. Grandma also came up with the special rule that once a blank has been played, anyone can exchange it at any time for the letter that it was supposed to be when it was played. The additional tiles and usable blanks make the game last longer and it becomes a lot more challenging to fill the board. What a great game!

Bought an inexpensive black board for side of fridge. The Scrabble letter holder is used for the chalk and some of the letters as note holders. I'd still like to use the letters for part of the frame. All is from an old scabble set of my mother's which the kids, my mom and I used for years. One day we realized there were 2 letters missing, for how long is a mystery. Someone was winning well without them.

purchase wooden letters from art shops, paint them in a color of your choice. Also purchase some thin tibbon and sut strips of it about 6 inches long. Glue aprrox 4 - 5 ribbons on the BACK of the letter. On the front of the letter, glue some of the tiles on the FRONT of the letter to spell out a name.

this works well for baby gifts because things such as baby barretees etc can be clipped to the ribbon. For boys, other items can be clipped to it
