Great finds, gotta love the goodies:) Great work on your garden, I know how bad trumpet creeper is, since it's all over the place here :( It sure does stink! lol... and I know how hard it is to even get started on anything let alone finish when you have a young one ( my youngest grandson and his mama live with me now!)I love the mirrors in your garden, that one with the Japanese Maple is simply beautiful! I seldom get to reply to a post anymore, or do many projects, or even get to yard sales, which is one of my favorite things ( when I miss a yard sale on Saturday it messes up my whole week and I can't keep track of the days, it must be a sign of old age!!??!!?? lol) However, we were driving by a yard sale Friday so we decided to give the grandson a dollar to spend and he bought two books and a toy truck, and I got a box of rhinestone earrings and another box with rhinestone necklaces, and a gold necklace with a gold heart and a small diamond, some pink leather newborn baby shoes...some of these things are for making a shadowbox...I spent $4 and got my yard sale fix:)

You betcha Pam. I just wanted to give it a year or so to get situated before I started hacking at it lol. Hopefully I'll bring some to share next spring and you'll be first on the list. I also had a lovely dark and light blue bearded Iris called Congratulations that I moved 1 or 2 years ago and have managed to lose track of it. It hasn't bloomed since the move and I'd love to know which clump it is. It was gorgeous and I remember someone from here saw a pic and said they wanted some. This is from a couple of years ago: I'm like you, I also like pointing out to people what I got in trades too as well as clearance plants. Most are very surprised this kind of plant trading goes on and want to know more about it. Danielle

Good morning! I'm really enjoying seeing the oldies in your gardens. Here are a few more from my yard: TWIGGY (1990, Dickerson, Dip, 18"/4", Dor, Mid/Ext/Noc) GREEN EYED PAT (1989, McRae; mine is taller than the 20" it's supposed to be, closer to 24-25") Lady Cynthia (1965, Fay) GOLDEN CHIMES (1954, H. A. Fischer) with Shasta daisy 'Becky' Laurel

Wow! Mona, I know this post got Judith excited! Especially since she is taking that cake decorating class. Those look like they could be used anytime--very pretty. I can't tell for sure, are they made on styrofoam? Yes, do share where you found them please. Hmm, might be something to experiment with--styrofoam balls and texture paints to do the designs. Sandi, what do you think? Would that work? Think I'll go over to the craft forum and have Oddie and Evelyncraftdiva take a look and see if they have ideas on how to make some like these? Thanks for the idea Mona. Luvs
