Yes, I planned on the mini croissants & mini buns because of the time & didn't want to serve a big meal. I like the idea of the cheese & veggie tray because most women like to graze & love appetizer type food. Bulldinkie I did think about deviled eggs but then thought most everyone might be tired of them after Easter, & same thought about ham. I appreciate the help in figuring this out. This is our first grand baby & I've never given a baby shower before & am stumbling through it all. Of course it doesn't help that they're not finding out the sex of the baby! Surprise! Last 3 baby showers I went to played: Let each person pull a length of toilet paper off a roll, the one that's piece fits around mom-to-be the closest wins.2nd game, fill a bowl with uncooked plain white rice. Mix in several packages of loose safety pins. Hold the bowl over each persons head, they reach up and grab a handfull of rice and pins. The person who grabs the most safety pins wins. You need a 2nd person to be standing there with a bowl or styrofoam plate that the player can dump their handfull of rice and pins in and it can be counted before dumping back in the rice & pin bowl. It is a lot of fun when you can get male guests to play too. 3rd. game have a list of items used for baby, scramble words and see who is first to unscramble correctly all words. You can see I have been to baby showers with the past 6 months. Oh, nice suggestion, ask everybody to give a book instead of a card with gift. I found a baby cloth book at one of the craft shows I did for last baby. Mom-to-be really liked it.

My kids, in their early and late 20's, still say this is the best punch they have every had. Now that they both live on their own, they make this punch for every party they host. MARDI GRAS PUNCH makes about 14 servings, 8 oz each. INGREDIENTS 1 can (6 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed 1 can (6 ounces) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed 1 quart apple juice, chilled 2 quarts ginerale, chilled. raspberry, orange, lime, and lemon sherbet. In large punch bowl, stir together concentrates and apple juice. Stir in ginger ale; scopp sherbet into balls and spoon into punch. You can also float ice cubes in the punch as well to keep it cold. My daugther likes to freeze fresh berries in ice cubes to float in the punch as well. She uses blueberries, strawberries and grapes. Just drops a piece of strawberries, a couple of blueberries or a grape into the ice cube tray, adds the water and freezes the trays of ice. looks really pretty in the punch, especially with the sherbet floating on top. As the sherbet slowly melts, it leaves a froth on the top of the punch that makes it taste even better.

I'm not exactly certain what types of foods you might want, but here are some sandwich ideas I might choose for an afternoon baby shower. I love appetizer type foods and think they're always nice to have a large assortment at a party so I've posted some favorite recipes. Wizardnm/Nancy's Cream cheese filling for wraps 8 oz pkg. cream cheese 2 green onions (white part and about 1 inch of the green part) 2 tbsp. dry ranch dressing mix 2 to 3 tbsp white wine (optional) Combine all in a food processor and process until smooth. Spread a couple tbsp of mixture on each tortilla. Fill using leaf lettuce, sliced deli meat of choice. A great cocktail pinwheel can also be made using the above mixture and the following. Olive and Green Chili Blend ¾ C chopped green olives ¾ C chopped black olives 1 can (4.5 oz) chopped green chili's Combine the olives and green chili's. Spread a tortilla with the cream cheese mixture then spread with olive mixture. Roll up tightly and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate 2 hrs or longer. Unwrap and slice into pinwheels about 1 inch thick. Cover completely with water and add a large amount of salt, 2 tablespoons and about 1 tablespoon vinegar. Cover and bring to a boil. If coloring eggs, for each color bring about 2/3 cup of water to a boil. stir in about 1/4 teaspoon vinegar and food color as desired. Carefully drop in cooked egg white and leave it in the water until it reaches the color you want (color will become more intense out of the water). Drain well on a rack until cool, fill as desired. Also, I got my egg plate at Walmart for about $3 I think! If you be sure to put a few drops of vinegar in your hot water with the food color, you will get darker eggs. This one was good, I must say. They key is finding the perfect ratio of eggs to cream, which I think I've nailed. As long as there are 1 1/2 cups cream (I guess you can use milk, although I haven't used it straight yet) to 4 large eggs, it is foolproof... Measurements are approximate. I just make sure that the fillings substantially fill up the baking dish before the liquids are added. Can make ahead and refrigerate. Remove from fridge and let sit for 30 minutes before heating in 200° oven for 30 minutes. Large Quiche 4 1/2 Cups cream 12 Eggs Salt & Pepper 1 lb bacon - crisp 1/3 lb ham (I had sliced, but you can get the ham slabs and cut into cubes) 1 large onion - chopped 8 oz swiss - grated 4 oz. goat cheese - crumbled 5 oz. cheedar - shredded Preheat oven to 350° Mix eggs, cream, salt, and pepper - set aside Fill baking dish with fillings.
