Hey Mike. Root pruning was a little nerve racking for me but I have done it with tropical fruits. I root pruned a mango tree, and yes, I was nervous but it worked just fine. I have not tried this on any of my citrus trees yet but my 'OroBlanco' grapefruit will probably be the first I tree I try it on. When I did it to my mango, I used a sharp knife and cut off 1/3 of the entire root ball. The only other thing I did was moved the tree to shade for a few weeks to recover, and the tree was fine. I would think it would be the same for citrus also. When I do this to my 'Oro Blanco', I will let you know how the tree does. Andrew

"She said she would call me Sat. to confirm" I think some people are just really hesitant to make firm plans. I am personally a BIG PLANNER and I like to plan in advance, and know how things are going to go. But I have friends like yours, who will toss ideas out there and then they may or may not do them. The fact that she said she was going to call to confirm the plans leads me to believe that, at least in her mind, they were never concrete. I would just let it go. But I don't blame you for being annoyed!

thank you ladies. the best medicine in cases like this is to keep myself busy, which I am doing. I just wish he had enough strength to let me go without calling me and crying. It is not a picnic for him either but it makes it unbearable for me. I spent a day at my parents and we recalled that we had two distant relatives who started wiht just minor drinking but ended up laying on the street in their own piss and consantly picked up by police and then dying of a heart attack in young age. Recalling that is enough for me to stay strong. I will not spend my life with anyone who is addicted to anything no matter how much i love them. thanks again, you have been very supportive.
