You are correct Kate , it is beautiful in its own way!! I have it in the wrong place and that's a real problem in my line of vision . But the real star is the blooms!! I just love them. Sometimes you just have to grow them to learn for yourself and I sure did. I just added a couple hybrid teas to my garden and those will be full of learning as well ( Beverly and pope John)

I would hold off and see if the next new growth is cleaner. Bayer is a fungal spray so it shouldn't have damaged the roses. I see the label is for flowers and other plants. What would worry me is that it is also for insects. I think it may also kill bees. I know that anything labelled as an insecticide, is going to have a chemical that is stronger than a fungicide. Some roses are naturally too sensitive for sprays and will re-act. This not the first time I have heard of roses not liking the Bayer spray. If you try it on another rose and get the same re-action, perhaps it is too strong for some of your roses. Try deleting it a little ands if that works better.

Personally I would not be worried or bother spraying - pretty minimal damage. You cannot expect every leave to be perfect!

Thank you, perma and pippa! Yes the bloom form I just couldn’t resist! Had to grow it, even if I knew there’s a chance I wouldn’t like the scent (heard myyrh is a love or hate thing).
