I think its too late now. I got mine at HD in March just when they got them. Its been in full bloom twice before and is blooming again. I have one in the ground from last year not doing so well but it got froze and has bloomed but is very small.

I just blew my knee and the other is hurting now, so I think your walk in is an excellent way to go, and I would add making it handicap accessable because it is easier to have it accessable than trying to remodel after a need arises.Have a no step floor that a chair may roll in easily. If you want to redo, why not do for many possibilities?

Adding to this old thread: My MIL hates hers because the tub takes ten minutes to fill and she gets cold sitting in the tub waiting for it to fill and drain. She has resorted to taking showers or filling the tub THEN climbing into it! If someone reading this is considering buying a walk-in tub, my advice is to make sure there is adequate water pressure in your home. Ours has decreased over the years due to hard water and population growth in our area.

@lharpie i agree i'd lose a small amount of hanging space since it probably can't quite handle a hanger on each side but it could handle 5-6' of hanging space on both the top and bottom (10-12' total) on one wall and 12" shelves on the other along with built in 40" wide worth of drawer in the bump out on the one wall. is that much hanging space even that important? its more clothes than both me and my partner have. honest question, not trying to argue. one thing i'm having a hard time agreeing with is the fact that the walk in would lose room space. ( @cpartist, @User). I'd say at this point i'm leaning away from the walk in. If i dont add the walk in, i lose 30" deep by 10' wide (25sqft) for the reach in, where as I would lose 5'x30" for the walk in and would better utilize the completely unused hallway space thats just a junk trap. (plenty of room for vacuums etc in laundry room) I do like the dual door idea. would doing sliding barn doors be a bad idea?
