we all have mirrors in our gardens. Rosalee recently used shells her kids had collected 40 years ago, her husband mounted the mirror on their brick wall under the covered patio. She has a couple more scattered in the yard. I have 4 or 5 in my yard, one shell mirror hangs on a post where it reflects the chicken coop, a broken mirror leans against the fence behind the bamboo, small mirrors hang here and there. I am currently making a driftwood mirror with a huge framed mirror I got for $10 at the resale shop, it is from an old dresser. When I am done my dh will hang it behind the pond we are digging and it will reflect the waterfall. Darn the luck I have to go beachcombing tomorrow for more driftwood. One thing, make sure it does not hang where the sun will reflect it and cause a fire! Mirrors are so fun in the garden. Tally HO!

i don't think they come in doubles, I am having no luck trying to paste the picture, it is similar to the dark vanity's sconces above, they are long and tubular. I will have to graph it out. Actually I think I will have to wait, because I have no idea where the bowls of the sink lie on this granite top. Ok, think I have solved my dilemma, I really need to wait for the granite top, not knowing the sink placement, and having one wall abutting the vanity. Then I shall attack it with graph paper.

I also love the idea of doing floor to ceiling fabric (curtains) over the mirrors. justgotabme has a great idea that sheers would let some of the light and reflection through. I would also consider doing some repeating decal over the entire wall. I'm not certain if they are out there, but you could do decals in the material made to "frost" glass so that you have essentially a tone on tone pattern over the whole wall. Alternatively, I wonder if there is any way to affix wallpaper to the mirrors without causing damage when you remove the wallpaper. That way the wall would simply be covered with some sort of accent wallpaper that could be removed when you move out.

Login trouble today, grr. Heidi - I missed your post yesterday! The lack of pattern in here is for sure bothering me. I was trying to get away with using less pillows but they can add so much color and interest and I may end up adding more. (If I can settle on fabric!) I was trying to find a fabric that had a lot of colors in it but nothing was really catching my eye. What type of plates would you use? I was in Lowes recently was surprised at their curtains. They had a bunch of nicer looking ones with longer lengths (95") and some were lined room darkening. They were inexpensive as far as curtains go but I think they could work just fine in a bedroom. I liked all of these but again had no real plan so didn't purchase any at the time. Tossing ideas. Anyone like any of these? Though I want to make sure I add more colors to the room besides blue and white. Like the off-white/cream with blue and the blue damask looking ones in the middle. Close up. Nicci - Good point about the lamps with the gold on the long dresser. I agree the daffodil painting could stand to not go above the trim but I really like that painting and don't care so much for the hunt print at this point. Eventually I may find another piece to replace the daffodil one. I wouldn't mind moving it to above one of the nightstands but I'd want something very similar visually for the other side. Wondering if the pillows come in 22". Jjam! Hi! I have a blue and white lamp in the living room I'm going to move into the bedroom for a visual. I'll try and take a photo tomorrow. I may end up ordering the blue & white ones. I really like the shape. Hoping the flower design looks nicer IRL, if not I could return. I really like the bamboo bases but I'll admit to being somewhat over that style of drum shades. I should probably be sorting this other bedroom fabric/pillow/curtain business out first. Unfortunately no HG's close. I have a TJ Maxx but their lamp stock is nothing to get excited over most of the time. I'm heading on a few adventures next week and I may be able to stop in at a HG while out.
