Comments (2)Satin Impervo and CC are about the same viscosity. Either product will run, drip or sag if you're using an overloaded brush. Try this with the CC. Dip the brush in about 2" of paint. Use 1" of the end bristles to draw up the paint, tap the brush tip to both sides and scrape both sides very lightly. Use a 1/2" to 9/16" thick brush. Michael...See MorePainting/Taping stair spindles

How many times per day can they slide down the bannister? We also have oak spindles, and I'm considered painting them. Please take pictures of before and after to post when you are done. Comments (2)Applying poly over the paint really won't give you any added protection. It's not like the poly is any more durable than the paint itself unless you are really using some cheap paint....See MoreUser
