Hi Imjustsam, welcome to the forum. Two days of reading you say, I know that was fun. This is such a fantastic group of folks. You'll love it here. If you are going to use the wash tubs as planters, turn it over and punch holes in it with a hammer and a large size nail for drainage. Do you like to paint? You could paint them with a solid color first then do designs or something else you'd enjoy on them. If it's acrylic paint you're using, remember to use a sealer so the paint will hold up in the weather elements. Another idea is to use one for the bottom of "tipsey pots." You can find pics of those by doing a "search" on the front page of the forum when it first opens up. Sure hope you'll share pics with us when you've finished your project(s). Sal

Thanks all! I thought about making my own stepping stones to surround the base, but I still need to think on that one lol! Hobby Lobby sells stepping stone molds. I could use one of the molds, some quikrete, and even embellish them with stones, mosaics, and such. Then surround the base of the fountain with the stepping stones.

luvstocraft...yes, the trees are on our property...our son introduced us to the fast-growing "corkscrew willow" tree...we have a few planted & we trim them often...I take about a dozen bundles to Farmers Market in the summer & sell them for 75 cts...they sell good. Yes, they would be very pretty in floral arrangements. My friend had spray painted hers red & put in a pot by her front door...with white snow, it looked wonderful! Thanks for commenting. Jeanne S.
