Neither....one is too modern, one is too traditional.

I'm confused though....where will the chandy go if you already have 3 of the glass fixtures for over the island? Is this for over the table in the bkfst nook?

is the 3rd picture to the right the polished nickel pendants for over the island ?
is the chandelier for the dining/nook area ?

the chandelier you pictured is very traditional and predictable, specially with that chain instead of a rod. I would not put that over the nook table . I think I recall seeing a larger version of your island pendants though.
How big is the nook table area ?

The ss appliances pics I assume are the ones going in the kitchen. Where is the stove and vent going? on the island or back wall.

What is the island used for--eating? cooking (if stove is there), prepping? schoolwork (kids) will it have barstools? pot rack above it?

just asking cuz the pendants you're hanging over the island are gorgeous and will be THE focus of the kitchen when looking into it at first glance. (LOVE them) so where is this other lamp going ?? like 10' back towards the family room (behind the picture taker?

just my $.02---- in one long room like that, the light fixtures are a major focal point and you put different types/eras/etc sooooooo opposites.. YIKES.
no one will notice anything in the rooms. Stay away from that glass bulb chandelier - clear glass = bright lights in eyes (plus it is a center point ) and the other chandelier --noooooooo so wrong era, will fight the kitchen ones.

look for something same style but bigger as the pendants. I've seen them too.
You did not mention -- the nook , is it off to the side as you walk to the family room area (I mean you are making a pathway around the nook table/pushing it off to the side of room-because you said one straight long room)??
and what IS the dining table? wood glass painted round square etc?? That makes a difference too.

Agree with the others on the 2 lights not matching and I'd prefer a larger version of the pendants over a table.

If you do go with one of those two try to see them turned on in a showroom first, and beware of glare.

I was so happy to see all the follow-ups. Thank you so much for caring and sharing your thoughts. I am glad I found this forum.

We have been really busy hence the delay in responding. We are building a house in a cookie cutter sub division and trying to customize as much as possible even though pay premium prices because this will be our house for ever at the least for very long time.

Our Family room, kitchen and nook area is one very long room. The nook is not bumped to one corner like we see in many kitchens.

The polished pendants go on the island and they are 3 of them. I will update more pics. The kitchen is almost done . We decided to go with a semi flush mount light fixture for the nook. So, neither the bubble nor the chandelier.

Our table at the nook is glass, here is the attached pic.

BTW the pics are of our current condo.
