So, even though you were shopping in a glorified Target/Dayton-Hudson store that wasn't anything close to the original Marshall Field's, it was okay because they *called* it Marshall Field's? Got it. People with handouts about bringing Marshall Field's back in front on the State St. store are laughable and silly at best. How exactly are they going to accomplish that? I'd love to meet some of these retail geniuses. There has not been a Marshall Field's culture in Chicago for at least 30 years - where have all of these brilliant business people been?

My daughter bought these a couple of weeks ago and she is pleased with them. She is using a plainer table with them and for the price she thinks they are great.

I do wish you the best, but I would be very cautious ordering from JCP. In Jan. 09 we special ordered 2 chairs. They came in April and I refused delivery as both chairs were seriously flawed. I find it hard to believe they had even passed quality control from the factory. The next order came in June, and JCP sent the chairs back. The chairs were flawed again. The third and final order came in Sept 09. One chair was missing a plastic foot cap, and they were suppose to order it immediately. My DH's chair after 1 month developed 2 grooves in the seat, so I called JCP and they sent someone out to repair the chair. He said he would order the parts, and they would mail the parts to me, and then he'd repair it. By the end of Nov 09, I called JCP furniture customer service to ask about the status of my chair parts. They said they had no order for parts. I immediately said that I wanted them to take the chairs back, and return my money. Two weeks latter they took the chairs, and within 6 weeks I had received my new chairs from another company. I would be very concerned about customer service, quality control, and repair.

I just hung Lisette sheers today on my DR sliding door. I bought them for the LR as well, but used the 4 pair I bought in the DR since I hung them wider. They are gold and really look nice. Lisette is what I usually buy when I buy sheers. These were on sale for $9.99 per panel. One thing I noticed though is one of the four pairs is not the same length though they all say they are 90". I have reordered for the LR and will see if I can swap one of these for the DR since the LR ones will be behind the sofa and not noticeable. I am attempting to make valances to go with the curtains. I am not a seamstress, but I will try some things from time to time. I think you will not be disappointed if you buy Lisette. Good luck. Peachie
