She was taking a B complex for a while and she may have stopped. She said "the bottle says to take two but I thought more might be better so I take three" -- that's another thing that stands out because she is a retired RN and always was very sensible and conservatibe about taking medications. She was taking a multivitamin for a while, but may have stopped that too. My dad is a health fanatic and tends to nag and correct her when she starts to take vitamins -- "did you take your vitamins?"; "don't take those together...", etc. I told her to take them in private when he's not around, but I suspect she stopped taking them altogether. She makes such a big deal about eating a regular sized meal of moderate portions -- "I can't believe I ate all that!" etc. when everyone else ate the same amount or more. Or she passes around her plate at the table at social functions to share her food, saying how full she already is and "I can't eat all this food!" when everyone else is enjoying their full plate (how do I politely stop her from passing around her plate like that? I wish she would just stop eating and not say anything to bring attention to herself). I don't understand what that's all about, but I think if she is so full with half a plate of food when she hasn't eaten for hours, then she is probably undereating (dieting) and her metabolism has slowed down. But whatever I say will go in one ear and out the other -- especially now that she has successfully lost weight and is thinner than ever. I don't know if she'll ever let any of us do anything for her unless she is totally helpless. Jen

Terrific, Omar - TY! The second tuteur DH built will be the perfect spot. I'm still getting the neighbor's P. incarnata Incense runners popping up on my side of the fence -- one right beneath my thryallis, so I may need to pull that one before it overtakes the thryallis. I'm laughing at myself with all those P. Incense stems I have rooting right now, as it's becoming apparent I'll have plenty (too many?!) from the neighbor's invasion in the backyard bed alone. I spy a ton of small nibble holes in the P. incarnata leaves, so the gulf frits are alive and well -- winter diners, indeed!

I'd post on Next Door or FB marketplace. People recycle these and would probably hold them for you. It wouldn't take long for a few families to accumulate the number you need. Or you could see if you could recover them from your local recycle center.

The plastic Versacourt basketball/pickleball court in my backyard is old and very sun-faded. It doesn't look good. I have been researching ways to restore the color since replacing the court would be very expensive at around $15,000. I've seen color restoring liquid products I could roll on myself, but they are very expensive - the cost would be $1,000+ and it doesn't last long so the process and cost would have to be repeated every year or two. One thing I had noticed was that if I scratched the plastic with my fingernail, the faded layer came off, revealing a much darker color. So I got the idea to scrub a couple of the plastic tiles with a wire brush and those tiles look practically good as new. Is scrubbing my entire sport court with a wire brush a viable option for restoring the faded colors? I've found electric, walk behind wire brushes online so it wouldn't even have to be very labor intensive. But is this a viable solution? My wife thinks it would fade super-fast because I am probably scrubbing off a UV protective layer but I don't think that is the case. I think the UV protection is mixed throughout the plastic, not a coating, based on Versacourt's description. Either way, I think this could be a good solution but I am afraid I am possibly missing something. Any comments or suggestions for alternatives would be appreciated.
