Trash To Treasure

no where to store these decorations

My shed is full to the top with other stuff and I really don't have anywhere else to store the lawn decorations I found. Got enough crap in the basement as it is. Is there anyone here close enough to me (Western MA) that wants them - come get them, they're yours!!!

Well, maybe I'll keep the baby reindeer and another one for a planter this spring/summer, but that's it, the rest have to go.

I'm in the same boat as you --- no where to store anything :( Maybe that's a good thing - I'd have tons of decorations otherwise ! )

Thanks J, but I just now found THE perfect online craft store! I looked at Joann's and she didn't have what I really wanted. What I like about online stores like this one is they have so many choices, more than a Hobby Lobby would. Our HL isn't all that either. :( Since I last posted I ordered an Apothecary Jar (inexpensive and the right size) and found this website to help me decorate it. They also have a lot of Christmas things to decorate with, all at low prices. They're out of California and have a picture of their store. It's beautiful! I totally second (or is it third?) 1st dibs -- got some great lighting from them as well as a beautiful 18th c. bureau and two 18th c. semainiers. I also am fond of Vivre -- my all-time favorite coasters I found there. (no longer available, otherwise I'd link them) And I lovelovelove Ruzzetti & Gow for bibelots -- I find lots of gifts (to give) there, as well as at Etsy. I also like Source Perrier (which was already mentioned above), although I think they are reasonably priced. I've been really impressed with the quality of everything I've purchased there. I'm not a big clothes shopper (girlfriends of mine seem to live to go to Neiman's -- pas moi!), but get me going on stuff for the house and I'm in danger. Ouch!

Wow seeing all those ideas itltrot I realized I have more stuff than just what's in my basement. I too have pillows stored in closets and cubes and hat boxes with decor stuff in them too. Even two pattern cabinets I purchased when a fabric store I worked at closed. I also have a number of the plastic stacked drawers. Now I want to go through it all and get rid of most of it. I just don't need all that stuff that has been collected for numerous home the past 31 years of marriage and my teen years. Not sure I have anything beyond that unless you count things that were my Mom's. Many great ideas though. Thanks!

I should take more pics of the furniture! Sales of some of these pieces are really pickin' up. Kinda funny...Some evenings they're delivering snowblowers & furniture...?! Auntjen...YOU can visit ANYTIME!!! We need some Hotties in there...;-) (although...in the summer....Uffda!) (more winks here!) I TALK big anyway! I turn to a puddle of jelly when a "looker" flips some hair around...*** blush ***! The raindeer come apart and you can put them in smaller places. I think the tree can go flat. My daughter has her raindeer in small boxes for storage. Or put them in a box and put all the other decorations around them. or plant them up and give as gifts or sell them....then you can buy more stuff...

Ohhhh, Twomonths, thanks so much for those suggestions. I do hate to part with my "treasures." What's in my shed can maybe be put in the basement. My bro is going to build me some shelves as long as one of the walls in a room down there.
