DARENKA, The antique buffet/hutch is gorgeous. Not exactly what i've 'got in my head', but gorgeous never the less. The second one isn't so bad either~not vintage, but nice lines and a good size~glass doors are definitely part of my vision. I already have an antique(100 yr. old)6' French buffet that I use in the foyer. I would probably use this piece for pots/pans, etc. It has a cabinet on each end, and four drawers in the center. It could also be use to house a drop-in range. Now i'm thinking about the sink/dishwasher/ovens, and how they would be housed. Of course i'll need cabinetry, so i'm thinking 2 identical armoires would work. I've only been in my new house 1 year, and wish I would have thought ahead. If the market increases enough, maybe i'll get the kitchen I *really* want.....and another new house. At least I can dream. LOL ;o)

catkin: Wow! I can't believe it, but I DO know the answer to your question about the paneled wall! They actually used both: they used 1/2" high grade on the wall with the towel rack, that extends from the shower. It has the applied mouldings. They had to use the 1/4" behind the toilet. If they had used the thicker, I believe they said that it would make the toilet sit too far away from the wall, and the drain/bolts wouldn't match up, if that makes sense (I am probably saying it wrong...I understand it, but I hope you can figure out what I'm talking about). I don't know what "luan" is. The 1/4" was thin enough to not compromise the position of the toilet. We kept it simpler behind the toilet, with just a top moulding, since the area is so tight there. Never wear white or ivory (or whatever color the bride is wearing) to a wedding, even in these days where the "rule" is "no rules." I like rules/guidelines. ...Kat WA...Yes, I'm wearing all the appropriate underpinnings; I just didn't want to advertise them to the world. LOL I found a lovely full-length slip with no lace of any kind on it to shadow through. It's peach, and more of dress liner than a slip. I could (if I were really buying all these items) simply hem it to be 3/4-inch shorter than the dress. No shadows at all. Seamed stocking are great, but I've never been able to keep the lines straight. (In my dreams I'm more of a fishnets kinda girl! LOL) I'm going with plain stockings. ...Sylvia...and DotMom...I'm in no danger of doing that, LOL. I just want to be appropriate for the occassion. ...Kacee...I'd love a hat, too, but I'm thinking with my full round face and short, full neck, and the fluffy wide neckline on the dress, a hat just might to "too" much.
