I would probably opt for some sort of charcoal based odor absorber. It is most likely chemical off gassing from the manufacturing process. Good to see ken adrian on the kitchens forum, have not hung out in conifers for awhile1 I need a Mi suppliier of specialty conifers now tht we have moved.

I do love colored cabinets. Sorry you're not getting what you want. I wanted white too, but we are just too dirty around here. What I wanted to say is that if I'm not mistaken, svelte sage is the closest match to Farrow and ball's French gray. There is a kitchen that all of us love with a french gray island. This is one of my favorite kitchens ever and if there is even a remote chance that yours looks similar. I think you'll be very happy! They used wood (not sure if you're interested in that) and it looks beautiful. That thick wood top is sooo pretty! Actually, the other wood doors are very similar in color to the ones you picked out with a golden something or other granite on the tops. I think that marble would be gorgeous if you can handle the pressure if it. :) There are some quartz tops that look very similar. You might try that. I'm not sure if I'd do soapstone (though would be pretty too) if you're worried about darkness in the kitchen. Try not to worry too much. I know the whole process isn't the greatest. Update Spoke to builder and he prefers these since they are longer lasting bulbs. They are led but use regular wire. He feels they provide better task lighting and less failure. The tape lighting sticky tap moves (which a friend has and it does unstick)He suggested I try a strip led light and see how I like it. I picked Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing. 16 ft. White Indoor LED Tape Light w/remote (Plug-in or direct wire) https://www.homedepot.com/p/307883100 It seems that there are a bunch of tiny dots vs several bulbs. The diffuser doesn’t seem to hide the dots. It’s a very stark white vs the lights I have is warmer. He can change them for no cost. He said the tape lights are cheaper than what he installed. It would require changing all of the wiring but luckily the countertop is not installed. Either way I still need the light rail. My builder said people had moved away wanting the light rail but he really thinks it finishes the kitchen Anyone have a specific light that they can post with picks showing how it reflects on a shiny countertop. Beth H. : thank you. He made the countertop himself out of 2 3/4" plywood and we bought formica 180fx laminate for the counters (and done the ideal edge) and used the same 180fx for the backsplash. I know alot of ppl don't like laminate, but I actually do and I do alot of food preserving and canning and the backsplash washes off so easily. With hubby doing all the work and making everything himself the total price of our whole house remodel came to $20,000. And that included, 6 new windows, 2 full baths, a kitchen, and flooring.... (during covid with prices more than double on alot of things. So we saved quite a bit! Overall, I love the way it turned out! And I'm extremely proud of my hubby!
