I thought you kitchen was very nice to begin with - but then when I saw the after pics WOW - it really brightened up the room - even with all those windows, it a big difference. Love all your finishes. Great job!!

Glad I was able to click on kitchens as your pics were too small for me to really see the beautiful transformation. It is so bright and airy now. That backsplash behind your rangetop-more details-was it a ready designed pkg. or did you design it yourself?? It's a piece of art-very nice. Oh, that's such a wonderful reno you have there! Not that your kitchen wasn't nice before. But now it's much more bright and open. And it's so pretty! BTW, did I mention that the white cabs lend a feeling that is both cool and warm as well? I tell you one thing, if I were ever to come by your home, I would probably plop down in that incredible sunroom/dining area and never leave! :-) I especially like the way you did away with the peninsula and butcher block table and replaced those two with the one large island. Very lovely all around. Congratulations!

I can relate to your kitchen becuase I have the exact same details in mine. I think the colors are gorgeous together! I used a scabos travertine for my backsplash but yours looks great!

Your new kitchen is beautiful. You are so very lucky to have the incredible wall of windows, and now the kitchen is as sunny as the breakfast area! The 'before' kitchen was not bad either, just a different look.

BTW, we have the same microwave drawer, and we love it (after 7 months of use). Enjoy your new space!

I loved the before kitchen but I loved the after kitchen even better since it was bright and happy and just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing and showing me I may want light cabinets to have a bright happy kitchen.

I am very happy with the KitchenCraft cabinets. You can see the construction of the drawers in the last photo. Only one door had damage (over the desk). They sent a replacement, but it is at the contractor's office.

Do you mind posting a pic of your Silgranit Cafe Brown sink and Grohe faucet? We are endlessly changing our minds between anthracite and cafe brown. We've seen many pics of the anthracite sink, but rarely any pics of the Cafe Brown. It would be so helpful. TIA.

Thank you for posting a pic of your Cafe Brown sink! I had been worried that the color would be lighter, more like a light cafe au lait, but that Cafe Brown color looks perfect. Whew, one more decision crossed off.

I am loving that mosaic. It is awesome. I ordered the cafe brown silgranite sinks for my main and prep too. I like the way it looks!

You really did transform that darker space to something rich and elegant, warm and bright. I love the creamy cabinets and the contrasting wood island. The lighted glass uppers are a very pretty detail. And I love the mosaic. How did that work with that company? Did you order it on line or is there a shop near you? I am assuming it arrived in one piece, but if so, was it super heavy?
And, would you mind sharing the yellow color on the walls? On my monitor, it looks like a nice warm shade.

What a transformation! You inspired me to look on the kitchencraft website. Is that the sheffield style? They only show it in stained, not painted.

The mosaic is CR145. It was made in Lebanon and took about 12 days to arrive. It came mounted on a mesh backing, rolled up with a bag of extra tiles for each color and shape. I looked through the hundreds of mosaics on their website and picked it, but they will make any mosaic from a picture or change any of their mosaic colors for you.

scrappy25 - yes they are the Sheffield style in Seashell w/ the suede glaze, the island is in bordeaux.

I picked the Sheffield style because of the rounded edges, but it made it more difficult to pick hardware because they couldn't be too wide.

fleur222 - the wall paint is SW Travertine

The mosaic was not heavy at all. The marble tiles are about half as thick as regular tiles.

Wow, what a beautiful kitchen! I love the transformation from dark to light, it's so warm and inviting! I also have stained moldings and would like to paint them white, but not sure what to do with the windows themselves. Did you replace your windows as well, or did you just paint the moldings?

We did not replace the windows. The moldings were just painted. One drawback is that I have to get new screens, but it was worth it.

I came upon your post because it said cream cabinets- hoping someone reads my post with help for my predicament.

Unfortunately we just had our kitchen installed and noticed that every section that is not covered by a door panel has began to peel and crackle- including the sides of the hood and the sides of the stepped out refrigerator section. It looks awful- we are in shock. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your kitchen is beautiful. We had selected the kosmus granite too because of the colors and the movement in the granite but now wondering about the choice after reading the internet and the cracking and scratching problem that others seem to have. How has your granite held up? Also, was curious if you are happy with your sink. We love the coffee color but wasn't sure if it would show water marks or scratch. Do you like yours? We are torn between the farm style sink or this undermount. Would you mind telling me the name of the limestone and glass tile you used for the backsplashI? I have been looking for similar colors.
