It's hard to tell on my monitor....it may be a tad green. But if you are trying to match the background in the fabric, I think the look will be lovely. Pretty fabric.

I don't think there are any colors in the fabric that match that paint chip, but I thought it might look ok with it anyway. I just like grays. I never really thought about it, but my den and living room both have navy blue upholstered pieces, and my kitchen and one bath both have blue accents. My kitchen currently has gray counters and gray walls, and my master bath has gray and tan tile. So I think I must really like gray and blue. lol

I'm going to go get a quart and some posterboard to see what it looks like together.

I posted some photos on this thread, how do you think it will kook? I could go plain white.

How about BM Edgecombe Gray? It's beige/gray, and I think would work with your fabric --- at least as far as I can tell on my monitor.

I had planned to get a quart of the Rain Cloud, along with a couple of others, and paint some posterboard. However, after I showed the Rain Cloud to dh, he got a gallon and painted the room. It's too green for me, at least while the sun is out. This picture looks more gray, but in real life, it's green with a little gray tint, not the other way around. It may look different when the sun goes down. But it's not a color I want in the dining, kitchen, and living room. I wanted it to be more gray.

Thanks Annie. Now that it's dark outside, the walls are still green. Dh claimed it was the sun coming through the low E glass that was making it seem more green. Nuh uh, it's just green.

On my monitor, the colors on the second picture look completely different. The wall is green (almost like olive sprig), and the fabric background is gold.

I have BM Gray Owl in this house. Everywhere--remember, "one color"? It does take on a slight green tinge in some rooms.

I was leaning towards just doing a white because for some reason the white in the drywall mud was very clean looking to me. But I just couldn't commit to an entire house of white. Spoke with our dear old Amy here and she pointed me to the off-whites in the deck. I decided that I could do it if it had a reasonable amount of color to contrast against the white trim. It worked out great. Who knew such a "boring" color would get so much attention and compliments from people. So do check it out.

I also used (in the last house) Coastal Villa. It was a Valspar color. Do check that out too. I know it has some green undertones in it. Also the other colors on that chip are very nice. That is what my kitchen and family room were done with in the last house.

What is the true color of the fabric's background? The 2 photos are entirely different on my monitor, too. The first looks light gray, the second deep gold.

The fabric background is a greenish gold. The first photo was taken at night so it reads a little darker, not that I'm going to admit dh is right about the low E bluish tint of the windows making a difference. The 2nd photo was taken in the afternoon with a western exposure and the sun streaming in. Below is a photo I just took with the sun coming in through the east window, but blocked a bit by the rest of the house. The paint looks better in this light, but is greener than I see it on my monitor.

I'll look at the BM colors, but it will have to be matched and made out of a PPG paint because dh bought 10 gallons of the base color while it was on sale. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

beekeeperswife, I wanted to go with one of the lightest colors, almost white, and do the whole house eventually too, and yellow tones don't look good to me when they are that pale.
