Inside of cabinets. . .to paint or not to paint?

Does anyone have opinions on painting the insides of kitchen cabinets? Either way, the price is the same. The three painters that I have gotten quotes from have different recommendations. One says either way is fine, more of a personal preference. One says no, the inside wood is in good shape and they will just chip and things stick to the paint. One says yes, basically and by his own admission, because it would take less time and be less work for him since he wouldn't have to tape off the insides but this would require unloading all of the contents, again. So less work for him means more work for me, which I'm not completely opposed to but as far as looks, I'm fine leaving them unpainted but if anyone has painted them and wishes they hadn't or on the flipside feels that it was worth the extra effort or if someone didn't paint them and is sorry they didn't it would help me to make a final decision. Any advice would be really appreciated.
