I have a 100 gallon Skippy topped with quilt batting. There is a prefilter for the pump made from a well filter that does a good job. I used to run a small UV filter that did a good job. The fish liked it a lot. There were no serious problems with the water until the raccoons dropped lots of potted plants in the pond. It took all year and then some to clear it up. I lost track of how many water changes I made. The pump died because of the small rocks that got through the prefilter. I finally discovered there were two more large clay filled pots that had continued spilling out clay. The water is clear again this summer. I have a new UV light to play with and the replacement pump is doing well. The prefilter will be higher up in the pond so it will suck dirty water rather than thick mud and rocks. Pots of taro will be sunk in very large pots filled with river bed stones. It will be very, very hard for the raccoons to move them. They might be able to rip out the plants but the rock will hold on to the pots. I'll stick to the more common plants for now. I lost too many expensive plants the past two years to the little monsters. That should take care of most of the cleaning. I will net the pond in the fall. There are just too many trees not to.

The first couple times I cleaned my white baseboard in the bedroom I found out it's not a good idea really to use a wet or even damp rag before dusting them well. Water or other liquid cleaner alone makes the dirt "stick", and my main problem was the caulking used to seal the baseboard along the top and along the top of the rounded toe board(forget the proper term). The caulking wasn't as washable as it was reported to be. Now much of it has a gray cast. ugh. and anything too strong dissolves it. Pinesol is what I use to wipe the wooden trim, cleans well.

hvtech, my stove doesn't even qualify as mid-range, plus it's 11 years old. I've always used a liner and everything bakes quite evenly and as it should. If I ever replace it, I'll be sure to ask about using liners.

When I'm feeling ambitious I will take a microfiber cloth, dampen it with a tiny bit of water and then run into around the keys of my MacBook. It's rather zen. The keys are black so look fine to me. My computer keyboard at works gets more gross. I pop the keys on that one occasionally and give the whole thing a good scrub. Many of the keys have hardly any text left on them (from work not from scrubbing) so I don't have to be very careful about getting the keys back in the original places. A VP once sat down at my computer to look something up. At that time the R and P looked exactly alike. He looked at the keyboard, paused with his (two) fingers above the keys, then stood up to go back to his own computer to look it up. I laughed and said "You have to be touch typist here, Larry!" He just shook his head.
