I want this sink but only 8 inches deep

I want this look and size sink (30 x 16 interior dimension) but only 8 inches deep. I also want minimal radius or zero radius. The only thing I can find is Julien at $1000 or more. Anyone know of a source where I can get an 8 inch sink for a reasonable amount. I simply cannot do 10 inch sink. I am short and my arms are not long enough!

Have you tried a 10" sink in a kitchen store? I've heard that the depth is more of a problem for tall people (who have to bend over to reach) than for short people so maybe it would work for you. Otherwise, I don't have suggestions. Sorry.

There are quite a number of Elkay sinks that are offered in both 8" or 10" deep, rectangular, single-bowl, and either zero radius or 15mm radius (which is almost zero but has the slightest curve which I prefer). One that comes to mind is the Elkay Avado EFRU2816 (note that it also comes as EFRU281610 which is the 10" deep model). I also like the Gourmet Elumina EGUH2816R because it is one of the few reasonably priced SS sinks on the market with an offset drain in the corner. Go to the elkayusa website, and you can sort for material, size and single bowl, and then sort the list that comes up by bowl depth. After you find models you like, search the 'net for the best price (the MSRP prices listed on the Elkay website are way higher than what sellers have them as).

BTW, you have it a little backwards - actually shorter people have an easier time with deeper bowl sinks. Their shorter height brings them closer to the bottom of the sink. It is the taller people who have to stoop more to reach the bottom of the sink that find deeper sinks more difficult. I have a 9" deep sink, plus 1" of granite countertop, and at 5'3", I don't find my sink depth a problem.

par72, be sure to read closely. The material that works to treat fungus is ordinary corn meal, not corn gluten meal. You can find corn meal at the grocery store if nothing else. Don't get the flour that is used to make tortillas. It is usually adulterated with baking powder or other shortcut materials for baking. You want pure ground corn. Molasses can be used to improve the soil in many ways. It has been recommended against root knot nematodes in Florida and Texas. Otherwise a general organic program helps to control bugs by not killing or chasing away the predators. When you stop using chemicals, you see a return of toads, birds, lizards, and other critters who help keep your garden free of bugs. Of course if you have cats then all bets are off.

4" is the distance between the hot and cold valves it is a "center" measurment..which means that it is 4" center of hole to center of hole and 8" centers..means 8" c x c [center x center] and...there is usually a hole in the middle [center] for the spout to come thru so...if you buy a sink..and it says the holes are 8" centers then the faucet you buy,has to be 8" center also '''''''''''''''''' there are sinks that only have 1 hole these are used with a faucet that is a single mount

Have you looked into having one custom made? Our sink was fabricated locally from a place that does mainly commercial installations. We paid $575 (I think) but the best part is they could make it exactly how I wanted it.
