Pics of Silgranit Anthracite Sink with Tan Brown or Tropic Brown?

I am trying to decide on what color sink I want to go with when I get my counters replaced. I have narrowed my granite selection down to Tan Brown or Tropical Brown, and will make the final decision after they template and I see the stone in person. I need to order my sink now (before templating), so I would like to see what the anthracite sink looks like with these two granites. My other choice would be the biscuit. I have a black fridge, DW, and microwave, and stove is black and white (matches the biscuit color I think) and cabinents are Honey Maple. Please help! I am confusing myself and changing my mind daily! (I looked for pictures on the website, but can't seem to find any.) Also, if anyone has suggestions on the granite choice that would be helpful too!

I've seen the anthracite with granites in the brown/cream range with just a bit of black flecking, and it looks very nice.

But have you seen the new brown silgranit? A dark, warm color that I think will work really well with stone from the brown family. Haven't seen them in person yet, but someone posted pictures here that were very impressive.

You have enough black in your scheme that a black sink will make sense, but given your counters and backsplash, I think the brown will support the overall sense of warmth and ease, while the black will be doing it's own more formal thing. But I speak as one with 2 silgrante cafe sinks that I just love. Having had silgranite, I'd never, ever go back to stainless, a louder, more demanding material. In the context of the rest of your choices, I think a stainless sink would scream for attention in a really disruptive way.

Thanks everyone! Here is the granite color I have I have already ordered the black Silgranite Sink so at this point I can't go with the Blanco brown, but I will be going to Home Depot to look at their brand tomorrow. The tough part is going to be matching the sink, the faucet and the tough one is the Sinkerator Hot water dispenser. Getting all those blacks to work is going to be huge. I like the ORB in Moen but it is very brown and the hot water dispenser is not even close. The only other option is to change everything to Matte black but the sink seems to have a little more charcoal so even that is not going to be a hit. Maybe I should go with stainless on the faucet ect but it is the only stainless in the kitchen and I have ORB hardware (a dark ORB instead of an brown ORB). I am driving everyone crazy here at the homefront as I have ordered 3 faucets so far and I have to have this done for the granite templete next week...thanks for the help!

My faucet is ORB. So it is sounding like I should match my faucet. Nancy, that is what I was trying to decide between- ORB or black to actually match the sink? BTW, Nancy, love your granite! Is that Uba Tuba? Your sink looks AWESOME!!! I am getting Santa Fe Brown granite which no one seems to have. Darker granite so it should match well with the Blanco sink! Dh and I agreed on this stone so it was a keeper. My cabinets are hazelnut maple w/ mocha glaze. Not very 'original', but very warm fuzzy for me. ;) I am so eager to have my new kitchen! I will be posting pics like crazy when it is my turn! LOL Thanks for the help, everyone! Now, just to decide.......ORB or black for the flange! hmmm... I think I really want it to MATCH the sink. ccat

Thanks for the compliments! The backsplash, and tile, are from DalTile. It is a color-body porcelain. The series is called Continental Slate, Brazillian Green color, and CS70 Decorative Accent backsplash. My tile guys decided to add the green bullnose at the top of the backsplash. It really pulled it together. We were actually their first customer that ever chose this backsplash and tile. They loved it too! Kulagal: The sink is a drop-in, so I can't wipe stuff directly into the sink. I just wipe it off the counter into my hand, and brush it into the sink. My old sink was a drop-in too, so I guess I am used to it. We couldn't do the undermount with the tile counter, and we didn't like the solid-surface counters. I love my tile so I am willing to make the sacrifice:-)

Thanks for the picture. I really am leaning toward the anthracite, this looks nice. My only concern is with dark granites...this is lighter than my other two choices. I am just second guessing everything!

Have you seen the new color in Silgranite in Cafe Brown? It might look nice with tan brown. Not sure about Tropic Brown because of the green tinge of that stone.

I did see the Cafe Brown in a picture, but I am wondering if it will clash with the dark granite. I am having trouble visualizing this. I might take a look tomorrow at the sinks in person and take my little samples of my granite with me. Any one else have some pictures of dark granite with the Silgranit Sinks?

I chose black black in the Kholer Cast Iron to go with my tropic brown granite. The anthracite was more charcoal and I wanted a true black. It really pops. Of course, I am a fan of cast iron sinks. I had a white one for 10 years and loved it. e-mail me for pictures! Hope this helps you!
