If the seeds had not germinated in the containers with dry soil, just water. You will probably see green in those containers soon, with regular waterings. I direct sowed some seeds in my flower bed last fall. They didn't germinate, so I figured I did something wrong. It was my first time direct sowing in the fall. This spring I began watering where I had sowed those seeds and I now have 7 plants growing there. The seeds just waited until the temps and moisture level was right for them.

I am with you Junkbj. I worked my way from nothing to having things in life and I never once considered stealing from someone. For all you bleeding hearts out there that are appalled at the idea of shooting someone over shingles or wiring, oh well. I would do whatever it takes simply out of principle to keep people from stealing from my construction site. If that meant me with a shotgun in a tent out at my construction site at nights so be it. This world has really gone to crap. I had a friend who had over $20k of materials stolen while their house was being built- a half a year of their work life stolen in several nights - no sympathy here for these slugs....

I missed KYgirl99's water problem while on vacation in March. I added a comment to the original thread even though it is probably far too late. Based on this and other problems I have to say that her builder is just about the most ignorant one I have ever run across. And I would rate her original "designer" just as low. I am continually appalled by how little home designers, masons, and GC's know about flashing brick veneer cavity walls. They seem to not have enough respect for water's ability to find ways into a building. I hope she finally got a local professional to help her.
