Last minute template questions -- please help

1. Do I want the side spray on the same side as the garbage disposal (left side on my one bowl Shaw's sink) or the opposite side?

2. Five holes: faucet, two handles, side spray, and air switch. Are they best off evenly spaced or should faucet/handles be clustered and air switch & side spray further apart?

3. Should they be spread pretty well the width of the sink or not?

As for the spray...are you left or right handed? Which hand will you be using? Take that into consideration for placement. HTH

My bath doesn't sound much like yours - I'm using Navaelli Carrara Star form Daltile and dark cabinets - but my cabinet pulls are gorgeous! I ordered Top Knobs- the Crystal Collection #TK128PC and they arrived last week. Pricey but beautiful. Can't wait to see them installed! I also am using Polished Chrome fixtures - I like the blue tone to them and the shine. I have satin nickel in my kitchen and it works and wears well. Can't comment on the rest but good luck!

Hi Helen, I will preface the following by saying I had someone help me with my colors, so take this with a grain of salt. I used sherwin williams colors as well, and spent a great amount of time on their website with their color visualizer. While all monitors distort color to some extent, I found it very helpful! I think that if you painted the niche of your fireplace with the brevity brown, since you are painting the rest of your room latte, that would be a lovely focal point of the room. Both of the colors are from the brown family and definitely would compliment each other. Go play with the color visualizer, I promise it will help you. I couldn't readily find pewter green on the strips, but it's there because when I searched it came up. Good luck! Amy

Help! Last Minute Tile/Sealing/Grout Questions

Thanks, but it's long since done & passed :) If anyone else has this question in the future, pretty much all of the reliable tile folk I spoke to (who are familiar with slate) said to seal the slate before grouting, with a light coating, then again after grouting. Has been sealed; grout is drying as I type :) And it looks great!

the heights are different in the 2 pics. The second is higher-note inner shelves on the sides. The first has a wider cooktop-more burners-no inner shelves-ovens outside the area somewhere. The cook in the first picture would be moving side to side a bit more while cooking but reaching outside the space for supplies. The 2nd person would be fixed in that stance with needed items on those shelves-less side to side movement , but more head and shoulder room, so it works. What do you need for what you will be doing, how it's set-up and your body type? They are both nice:the first is more formal,refined. The second is more useful/inviting.If you are going higher-use the space wisely as in pic 2.

I like the spray to be useable on both sides of the sink...Is it's reach long enough for both sides if it's off to the left or the right? For me that would answer that question. If the reach is long enough no matter where it's placed, I'd say that personally I use it more on the disposer side (cleaning up scraps) than the other.

I like the clustered look as opposed to spreading out five differnt gadgets. To me that looks busy and unplanned. Since you're planning it :oP YOu shouldn't have that look.

I'd want the main faucet to be able to reach both sides of the sink. We have a current set up here in the rental where the main faucet does not reach the disposal bowl terribly well (spills over the devider). It's annoying to no end! I would place that faucet in a location that will reach both bowls. That would be primary to me. From there, I'd decide the issue of the reach of the sprayer, and use that to do my final placements.
