Your new kitchen looks really great! I like your cabinets, alot. In the second picture there is a range that kind of looks like the one my contractor is installing for me today! Did you return it, or was that an old range?
Be sure to repost again after the backsplash is in.
And Congratulations on being almost finished:)

Hi kitchenaddict - the old range was actually a new range we bought with the fridge/dishwasher. We never ended up installing it because it was gas and it would have been a big hassle/expense to retrofit. We sold it and went with induction instead. But it was a lovely looking range...

I am always amazed how good ikea kitchens turn out even compared to 'custom' kitchens. there is something so clean, modern, brilliant and totally european about the lines.

I wish my computer had not crashed a few weeks ago because my before pictures make your before pictures look like a brand new kitchen! As somebody said above, we all have before kitchens and IMO yours is by no means the most dated example. Anyway, enjoy your new space. You deserve to.

Thanks so much everyone! For all those who have been there, it's so hard when you're working with diagrams and little wood samples and colour chips. You just kind of hold your breath and hope everything works and goes together. The paint is also new although it's hard to tell because it was done first so requires a few touch ups here and there.

Shelayne - no, we did not do it ourselves. My hats off to anyone who does. There's a company in my area that specializes in Ikea kitchens. Six guys showed up at 9:00 one day and at 6:00 that evening, everything was finished. Easy-peasey..

I have to say one of the things I really love - and something I only picked up from this forum - was my sink grid. Who knew who handy that could be??

Thanks again everyone for such positive feedback :) It still isn't quite right for me - I'm dying to get the backsplash in to pull it all together. Have the name of a good tiler now just need to pick out something! I"m thinking beveled subway tiles, maybe cream/bone but if anyone has any suggestions I"m totally open! I'm not a designer type person whatsoever.... but lots of you on here are for sure.

I've been looking closely at Ikea for my bathroom project. I don't think I could have imagined how well you used the various pieces and shapes and sizes. It looks amazing.
