Thank you for your advice! I was worried about it being dated too soon, and I got voted down by hubby. Oh well, the plain ones are nice too! More versitile, since I don't know any other details yet. (It's new build, and haven't had design apt. yet, just trying to figure out things I like and don't). I do know I am not going with the standard undermount ss double bowl. I like single bowl, and not ss. I have ss and it is a pain. I really like some of the white kitchens I have seen on here, but worried that would be dated soon also. Most likely would go with a med-dark cabinets, maybe creamy gold brown granite, and maybe dark wood floors, but who knows. It all depends on the 'standard' and upgraded options etc. At least granite and 42 inch cabs w/crown and wood floors are standard. Thanks again!

I have the kohler vault short apron 36" sink. The main reason I ordered it for the smart divide. I wanted to have the extra room to wash large pans but also to have the option of a second sink side. Most apron fronts I found we one basin or had a full divider. I think the sink looks great and was exactly what I was looking for.

Hi CalifKitchen - Sorry I was not clear, we ended up going with a pair of the faucets for the larger sink. I dropped in a pic below. I cannot imagine you would have problem with reach on the Karbon but cannot comment specifically on that. Regarding whether they go or not they go together, you have to stay true to what you like - I LOVE classic and modern together. I think the tension is interesting, and seems less dated to me than working within just one more consistent time trend. Your Shaw and Karbon remind me of the several classic pedestal sinks I have in my house all with modern faucets, I love them together! (But I am also a person who made choices that other people would not have, which is totally cool with me.) And as Fori points out, facuets are easy to replace, you could enjoy them for a few years and later change them out if you get tired of the combo. Just make sure the sink is a keeper! :-)

6 11/16 apron minus 7/16 thickness of the rim that will sit on top of the cabinet equals 6 1/4 inches. 6 11/16 - 7/16 = 6 1/4 6'' faux drawer front + 3/8" reveal equals 6 3/8" Assuming all of the figures given are very accurate, then you should have 1/8" space between the bottom of the sink apron and the top of the doors. Too close for comfort. So...possible remedies would be to mount the doors just a little (1/4'') lower...but that will probably not look too good as the bottom won't line up with the rest of the cabs in the run. Better option--add a little height to the top of the all the cabinets in that run...whatever you need...1/4 to 3/4'' thick boards so the sink will sit a little higher and give you the clearance that you need. (effectively, what you're doing here is increasing the '3/8" reveal) Get moulding finished to match the cabs that can be applied to cover the boards that are raising the countertop. If you're at least average height, raising the countertop just a tad shouldn't make much of any difference comfort wise. (Probably lots less expensive solution vs having a cab custom made.)
