Yup, yup, yup - real dumb move there. I used to do the same thing with lilies all the time. Finally I made myself promise on at least three stacks of Bibles 1) I would not cut back all the stems in the fall so I could see where they were the next spring. 2) I would not dig anywhere near the stems come spring until the lilies were at least several inches tall. Esh, you read me like a book! I spend a fair bit of time down in East Tennessee (my ancestral grounds), and try to get up to the Mountains whenever I can. I've always marveled at the sheer number of different species there, many of which have landscape potential. While we don't all live in misty mountain woods, I think that many of the plants could be grown with a suitable microclimate. Hobblebush grows in full sun in the mountains, yet it would scorch if planted in the full sun around here. However, I've had luck with many Northern species by finding protected spots with cool soil. Oddly, a lot of those heath bald plants are found in the New Jersey pine barrens and in bogs in the North - Go figure!

I thought of the same with Ron. I lived in Colorado for 4 yrs and that's where I learned my English. They commonly use "you guys". When I came to Texas, the dentist picked it up right away and asked me "you didn't learn English here, where did you learned it?". It caught me by surprised so I asked, he said my accent and vocabulary were different. I guess, it was not of Texan's origin. Here in Texas, they say "ya'll" and in Colorado, "you guys". Hah-hah... try saying "yes m'am and yes sir" to a New Yorker ;o) ... same concept.

I find that sometimes when I can't get to sleep, it's because I have some generalized pain -- pretty un-noticeable. If I take one Tylenol (not Tylenol PM, just plain Tylenol), I will often fall asleep within 20 minutes. If I can't get to sleep within an hour, or if I am awake in the early a.m. I take a 5 mg Ambien generic. I'll only take it if I have at least four hours before I must wake. The extended-release Ambien is too strong for me; leaves me feeling weird. The 5 mg is just right. I only need it about every fifth night.
