How was your weekend?

Hi everyone~ just stopped in for a second before I head out to run errands. Hope you all had a nice weekend and are starting this week off happy. We had a pretty quiet weekend. Got to go out to Olive Garden Sat night with my mom and DB's family. That was nice. Hadn't been there for a few years and had forgotten how yummy it was.

Anybody have any good Valentines Day plans? DH is taking me out on Friday or Saturday night (only time we can get a sitter). I'm going to buy him an engraver today for his v-day gift. He had one, but it disappeared and he's always griping about it. ha Watch, as soon as I gift him one, he'll find his other one. ha Ain't that the way it always goes? ha

Well, I'm done with my cheerios and need to take care of a few more things before I get going. I hope you all have a super fantastic day!! :D ~Anj

Morning Anj and everyone, Not much planned, sort of misting rain so can't work in the yard. I'm almost finished anyway, and we really need to get the rain.

Had the little GD yesterday, we had to have a "tea party" which consisted of milk and ritz crackers! Ha ha She mostly likes pouring it from one cup to the other!

I just went to Olive Garden on Friday for lunch with a friend. Hadn't been for awhile either. Love those breadsticks! Yummy!

I plan to spend a portion of today teaching the new puppy that she has to stay in the family room. Kitchen and dining area are one step up, but we think it keeps the hair more controlled and keeps the wood floors from getting all scratched up if they just stay in the family room only. I took the baby gate down and so far I have only had to put her back in here twice. Now she is just sitting there looking into the room but not trying to go in. I am sure we will have to do this routine several days until she really "gets it". My current and previous dog were really good about it--no matter who came to the door or walked in, they do not go further than the doorway! Love it!

Better check out the other forums and go get some "day" clothes on.

Nice to hear from you Anj. You have to hire a babysitter? I thought your folks lived right next door--or maybe they are going out with you. Hope you have a nice Valentines.

We had a great weekend. We were informed we are going to be grandparents again in Sept. That is exciting.
I Love Olive Garden but we have to travel 1 1/2 hrs to get to one.
Arianna loves to play tea party with my dogs LOL
We have 3 Bostons and they let her just boss them around. It just cracks me up.

Brenda Sue...I wish I would have know that before I brought the ones I have. sighhhh If you have any guinea eggs I will take you up on that offer!! Seramas you are a good hearted person. I am sure any 4H group is glad to be of your acquaintance. Not only for the give away but the knowledge I am sure you give them at the same time. Are there any advantages of me being an adult without a lot of knowledge looking up a 4H group? I really do not know much about them. I got on here to tell you that the peeps and the pullet in my basement. They are all getting along fine. They look to the pullet one as if she were their momma. they even hide under her. LOL sooooo cute. I go down there and there they are peeking from under her wings. I would put the camera down there so I can see what they are doing when I am not around but I still have not figured out how to get it working right. hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Now that they have bonded I still wonder what is going to happen when I put them all together with the bigger girls. Have not decided if I want to build another coop, extend the one I have or just put another sleeping box in there. If I put them together I will start them out in the battery cage for a few days though. decisions decisions.

Glad you got a truck. With animals and living in the country you need one. I like the goats in the tree picture too. Even when our animals are being bad, you still sometimes have to laugh at what they do/did. In your other post about not feeling well and stopping smoking, I mentioned my friend that I have been trying to get to quit for years. Well guess what, she e-mailed me and has been smokeless for 6 days now. COOL!!! I'm proud of both of you. I needed to come back to work to get some rest. On Sat. we got up early and drove to New Orleans to work on our neighbors sister's house again. I think we will be finished in 1 more trip. While DH was laying some of the countertop tile, I went shopping. I love to go to grocery stores in different towns. Always have neat things that you don't find in your own region. On Sunday, we went fishing. We caught 9 bass. Went home and had a nice fresh fried bass sandwich on New Orleans Poor Boy bread. Was pretty YUMMY! Then Sunday afternoon, we went to a covered arena and rode our 2 older mares. My 17 year old tried to unload me as soon as I swung my leg over the saddle. I managed to ride that buck out but later she completely jumped out from under me. She spooked and it was like the caroons. One second you are on the horse, she jumped sideways and the next I'm in mid-air. Not hurt so that's a good thing, just a little sore. Here is a link that might be useful: MY BLOG

When to a chocolate tasting festival with a girl group, then a cheese tasting festival, then shopping. Sunday went to a museum and a dinner date. Not a bad weekend. :) although i'm envious of your planting session. My poor little plants on my patio are still just dirt and last years plants before the snow killed them. (we don't usually get much snow.. wasn't expecting it)

I walked while shopping, got on the treadmill for 30 min. Sunday. Did U know: Home Depot honors competitors coupons? (I don't mean exact item matches, the percentage off, like Harbour Freight). I have an ACE game day coupon, 50% off. In fine print it says "on any item under $30", but they take their meet or beat price guarantee very seriously and just give the 50% off. Yesterday was "game day". There are "LOTS" of Sunday "game days". I purchased a new locking door knob, Halifax Smartkey. It lets you put YOUR key in it and you can change the key pattern without a locksmith. So COOL!

Congratulations Diana!! How fun. Are they gonna find out girl/boy?

Luvs~ My mom is my only babysitter, but I don't like to bother her all the time since she still works so we try to limit ourselves to the weekends when she doesn't have other things going on.
Neat trick with the dogs. My schnauzer doesn't shed, but I sure wish I could figure out how to confine my cat to one room. UGH!

I'm sure they will want to know what it is.
I really don't care. I just want Angel and the baby healthy. I started a baby blanket yesterday. I crochet, so I'll be having fun :-)
