Is 11,000 a good price for a Henredon dining table set?
Comments (10)Before you buy check out the prices at Boyles in SC. Boyles Furniture - ask for Brenda Hawkes 2220 Highway 70 S.E. Hickory, NC 28602 Phone: (828) 326-1735 www.boyles.com I've purchased Kindel, Baker, Hickory Chair, Wildwood, Kingsdown, and Bernhardt furniture thorough Brenda and paid less than what my local store quoted. Never had a problem with their delivery service or customer service. Boyles has to collect sales tax for all out of state sales. However, prices are still below local prices. Call Lexington Furniture Company in Kentucky lexfurniture.com. 859 254-5362. I have furniture on order with them right now, so I cannot speak to their delivery service. I'm told that their D&D delivery service is terrible, so I requested they use Sun Delivery. Costs an extra $100, so I hope it is worth it. They don't collect sales tax unless you are in KY. However, I do like the customer service at Boyles better....See Moreopinions please on this dining room set
Comments (23)Just because it's an estate sale doesn't mean the piece is old and good quality. It could be the pics, but I'm sure that this is a modern reproduction and it appears to be of a lower quality wood covered with a tinted varnish to get the color rather than be of genuine mahogany that a good quality reproduction would be. I'm thinking 1980's import quality rather than 1960's solid wood repro. If that's the case, then the whole thing would go for around $200 used rather than the 1K of the better quality version. But, if you like it, that's no reason to not buy it. Just for the lower price....See MoreHow to price and sell a dining room set
Comments (6)I think what you've said in your post is fine. Just be aware that what you are wanting to sell is taste specific and an older style, which limits its appeal. The fact that it's been lightly used is a small plus, but overall it will be a low price that will move the set out of your home and into someone else's. The secondary market for used furniture is so saturated and I have actually given furniture away just to get it out of my house....See MoreDining Set For Dining Room
Comments (25)Okay, I did not get the Kelly Ripa dining set. Thanks for the feedback - very helpful! I got rid of the china and china cabinet and decided to make do with what I have for now. Eventually I will get new buffet/sideboard and table and chairs. Anyway, here are some photos. Looking for idea for the middle of the table. Disregard the stuff in the right hand corner - was cleaning things out and forgot I put it there. I am thinking of copying this for the center of table: Thoughts? Other suggestions? Thanks!...See Morepalimpsest
