Christmas Money Drama

SS moved with us in Sept. He had lived his whole life with his Bio mom. He has a checking account at her house that he would save his birthday money and christmas money money from cutting yards Money that was just his in general.

So even after SS moved with us we didn't change Child support to her because we didn't want to see SD suffer for the lack of money.

Christmas rolls around we did fine getting what the kids had asked for even SD who isn't with us full time. SS had asked her for a few things at her house. She gets them for him and after Christmas was over SS wanted an MP3 Player because everyone eles ended up with one from one way or another but him. So SS asked his mother to go get his Birthday money out of the bank so he could go get this item.

Last night she admits to him that she had pulled his money out of the bank to buy his own Christmas presents. He was so upset and hurt that she would do this to him. It doesn't help that her boyfriend has already pawned anything of value(SS X-Box the family Computer) in the house to buy drugs or what ever. She keeps kicking the looser out but then lets him back in the house. The boyfriend bought HER a 1000.00 diamond ring for Christmas and she expects them to be happy. The whole time the kids are thinking be bought it with their stuff. Talk about RE-Gifting.

DH is trying to make SS feel as best he can that she only did it because she was in a tight spot but I feel like it is rotten. Is he saying it is okay to steal if you have a good reason? I know he don't feel that way but what do you say to a kid? She just shouldn't have tried to keep up if that was the extream she had to do to do it. And that "Keeping up" has to do with the first Christmas the were divorced when she was the one who had the money and made fun of DH that Santa didn't come to his house and made him feel bad. He did better then most even then it was just her way of being a big shot.
