How bog a bedroom is big enough for a king size bed..
Comments (9)Our bedroom is 14x15 and we have a king bed, two wide nightstands and a long, low bank of dressers along one wall. And a two side chairs. And there's still plenty of room to walk around. I use 3D Home Architect 3.0 (out of print but available on ebay--later versions are bad) to see if furniture will fit into a room. It's probably more than you want to get into, but there are free programs available online, I think. These programs let you draw your room with windows and doors and then select furniture to drop into the room and move around. They're fun and very, very useful! Most of them also have a 3D walk-through feature....See MoreIs there an easy way to put on a king size fitted sheet?
Comments (19)I love this topic and just noticed that its an old one. We have a king now in our FL condo which we haven't ever had before and honestly I hate to make the bed. But I am with jxbrown's mom who uses the tag as the guideline - I alternate between the tag being at Ken's head or my feet. I got some new sheets recently and they are so huge that I hate them, the top sheet is almost to the floor on both sides, its crazy. Another topic is the king size pillows, I am just not comfortable with them, they are hard to flip over when I change position which I often do. So I still use my tempurpedic pillow but I just hate having to deal with an extra pillow when I make the bed....See MoreAltering size 10 top to size 8
Comments (3)I'd agree that you'd need to try it on. Every company had its own standard of fit. A ten in one company may be an 8 in another. The difference between missy sizes eight and ten is only two inches, at the bust waist and hip. Circumference of the sleeve doesn't vary nearly as much. A "top" can be anything. There is absolutely no way to tell you how to alter it without seeing the style, and how it fits you....See MoreWhat size dimensions do you like for a duvet for a regular king size b
Comments (19)First off, I would not tuck the duvet or the quilt under the mattress. I'd fold the quilt in half, and have it end at the foot of the bed. Then I'd fold the duvet in thirds and place it at the foot of the bed as well. This way only the sides extend past the mattress top. Second I think if you use a 34" round mirror, you may want to center it and add something on each side. Like sconces or framed pictures. I actually prefer a rectangular mirror, probably slightly shorter than the dresser....See Morenoinwi
