Help select correct light bulbs for bathroom

I know this sounds silly, but I have two bathrooms that have no natural light. I want to repaint for resale purposes. I posted a question a few weeks ago requesting some neutral paint colors that would work in a no natural light bath. From those suggestions I have found they all look pretty stark...I'm now wondering if it are these light bulbs I have.

So, what type of bulb (halogen, fluorescent...) should I have in the bathroom and what wattage?

I want to repaint for resale purposes.

I'd look at 60 watt incandescent. Or, ideally install a dimmer. Dimmers are - usually - easy to install and relatively inexpensive. 75 or 100 watt incandescents that you can control for showings could be handy.

Could all depend on the fixture and the wattage it can safely support. Halogen might not be an option simply based on the fixture.

We paired the Bryant Sconce (4) with Venetian Mirrors (2) at the two vanities and hung the Visual Comfort/Circa "Petite Paris Flea Market Chandelier" over the tub. Looks great. I love how they used the floor tile for the backsplash here and topped it with the mosaic. The floor tile may have been cut down to fit. Would that work with the materials you've already selected? I would rather see tile than 10" of counter material. It would be okay to leave a gap at the top of the mirror. I assume you're not putting lights over the mirror or I'd center it.

Do you have any photos of the space? I’m getting ready to update my master bath as well and have decided on an LED backlit mirror in addition to several can (recessed) LED lights for even more lighting. I’m big on makeup and want the best lighting as well. Not the prettiest but as far as my research goes the best. Go on Wayfair and search, there are quite a few with excellent reviews.

I really like the colors in the shower curtain and towels (and art), but to me something more beige/cream/brown would work better. At least on my monitor, your counters and floors look more beige/cream.

agree to go incandescent 60 or less, depending on how many you need. Do you also have room to put a small lamp in the bath too. It really adds a warm feel. I would stay away from the fluorescent as it is very harsh on skin and making a room look cold, especially for resale.
