RECIPE: Positive results from Hollywood Juice Diet

A special hi to all "fellow dieters"

I have successfully completed the Hollywood Juice Diet on Tuesday and Wednesday and I must honestly say that it really works. The recipe was posted to me by the STAFF at todayican.com and I would sincerely like to thank them for all their support. It was a bit difficult and challenging on the first day but on the second day it was a lot easier. I was 147 lbs and I lost between 4-5 lbs within 2 days. This is really excellent. My body feels totally rejuvenated and cleansed. By forwarding this recipe I have met many people who are also trying this diet and we have become diet buddies. This diet has certainly prepared me for my weight loss journey- I have already found many low fat/low calorie recipes to incorporate in my diet, I am exercising regularly, my stomach is already rejecting fattening foods and most importantly I am feeling healthier and happier. My weight loss goal is to be between 135-138 lbs and I will try this diet again next week. SO GOOD LUCK TO ALL YOU DIETERS AND REMEMBER THAT YOU WILL SUCCEED!

carlytoo - My DH would LOVE sugar-base Coke jam, but I am NOT going to make it for him! He gets enough calories from his liquid Coke so he doesn't need more on his toast. LOL Annie1992 - thanks for the recipe! I did use 2 pouches of liquid pectin the second batch because I found that there was enough natural pectin in the organic Apples & Eve Pomegranate Plum juice for a good set - it made thicker juice not jelly. Very pretty and delicious but A&E have stopped making that combo (bummer). If any of you find it still on your store's shelves - grab it! I also made jelly from the store brand Pomegranate Plum juice and it was not so pretty and not at all good tasting - that batch got dumped. I've since made organic black cherry (thanks for the tip dgkritch) - it is totally delectable; and from prune juice - perfect for the base in my date, raisin, and walnut filled cookies but yucky on toast. I bought some apricot juice/nectar that looks promising. Hey, I'm on a roll - jelly without the mess of dripping fresh fruit juice all over my kitchen! afeisty1 - Apple Cranberry has to be my next one! That for sure should set with one pouch of pectin! I have not read about this particular diet, but I'm trying to get more fiber in my diet to help with diverticulosis. Here is some information I have found: ~ making your own whole grain or multi-grain bread is a good idea; just watch how much plain (white) all-purpose flour is in the recipe as that is not the way to get whole grains; add unprocessed wheat bran and wheat germ to bread recipes ~ add more barley, oatmeal, and brown rice to your eating habits; I cook up both barley and brown rice in 2 cup (uncooked) portions then freeze the extra in 1 cup (cooked) portions for later use ~ eat 3-5 servings of fruit and veggies every day, with as many of them eaten raw as you can ~ add cooked dried beans (mashed) to meatloaf, meatballs, casserole, meat sauce, chili, taco meat; or you can add 1 TB unprocessed wheat bran to these recipes as you are making them ~ for snacks, eat fresh fruit (not fruit juice), pretzels, baked tortilla chips with bean dip, fresh veggie sticks with an herbed yogurt dip. Brown rice might take some getting used to, but the more you eat it the better it tastes! A Mexican pizza could be made with a flour tortilla, topped with seasoned mashed pintos or refried beans, some taco seasoned ground beef if you want, cheese - then top with shredded lettuce, diced onion, tomato, olives, peppers, jalapenos, any topping you like on a taco. You could drizzle some taco sauce or salsa over all if you like a spicy sauce.

The recipe looks good, however a bit of a hassle to find everything or having to juice that fruit. As for "cleansing" you system, prune juicue with pulp and lots of water will accomplish the same thing. The juice is loaded with healthy vitamins and minerals as well.

A HUGE thanks to anyone who would send me a copy too. used this about one year ago and had great results. Went from 152 to 147. It IS very hard, but for two days really worth the results!! Would love to have a copy if someone see this.

*One cup Papaya Juice
*One banana
*One-half cup green tea/strongly brewed
*One scoop soy protein powder w/spirulina
*One-half cup blueberries/ can be frozen
*One-fourth cup carrot juice
*One-fourth cup apricot juice
*One-half cup non-fat plain yogurt
*One pack sweet & low

~Blend all of the above together till smooth. Serve over ice. Recipe yields 2 servings. Drink every 3 hours or less (up to 6 times per day). Use juices with no added sugar or corn syrups, as this is the key to losing quickly.

So you get a total of three cups of shake for an entire day? There is absolutely no way anyone could lose more than one pound of fat doing that for two days. The loss is clearly from water and...uh... elimination. What a hoax!
