If you're not sure which kind you have, please don't offer.) I'll be glad to take these any time from about mid-March through October, whatever is easiest for you. Hello, I am desperately looking for hamamelis intermedia plants. I know that they sucker a lot, so if you have one that's suckering a lot, I will trade you if you dig up one of the suckers (they're very very hard to root from cuttings so suckering is the preferred method). If you have another idea for cultivating witch hazels, please tell me, because I don't know one! I don't have a huge collection of plants but I can offer some spearmint, peppermint, purple sage, chives, feverfew, mulberry tree cuttings, stella d'oro lilies, or some lily of the valley. I'll take any hamamelis intermedia cultivar, but if you have these cultivars, that would be even better. I have both shrubs and have been severely dissapointed w/the Vernal Witchhazel. I've moved it twice b/c it never seems to bloom-or does so very lack lusterly. Mine is in mostly sun until the canopy trees fill in. Its also a very slow grower. I am however loving the Allspice!!! My allspice gets a great deal of shade, but has bloomed very nicely. The shape is very attractive and has grown a great deal. I plan on adding a few more b/c I am so impressed with it. Its form can be seen from far away b/c of the leaf structure. The allspice is fragrant, although I've found you have to rub against it or crush a leave to get its scent. Perhaps closer to your deck it would be more fragrant. The Vernal witch hazel would look better in a woodland, less manicured garden. I don't think its a speciment plant... Neither is impressive in the fall or winter, IMO. Good luck!

designsaavy...no problem about the hijack...it's still about the Corian. I purchased my counters from Home Depot. There was a local fabricator I really wanted to use but HD had a sale that was too good to turn down. As luck would have it, HD contracted their fabricating and installs to that same fabricator so I got the best of both worlds. When I purchased mine, I took the layout, with exact measurements to Home Depot and you purchase the approximate square footage based on your layout. If that number ends up being a little more or less, they adjust before installation. Ours was pretty much dead on. Also, we actually purchased/contracted for our counters several months before they were installed. It was no problem at all...the fabricator just said call when you're ready for templating.
