It's a brand new book (Copyright September 2011) and it has all sorts of hints and tips along with the recipes. In an earlier post of mine, someone mentioned they enjoyed my threads. I thank you and everyone else who's been helpful and kind to me here and the rest of GW. I just wanted to say cooking and gardening are two of the brightest spots in my life right now. I enjoy these hobbies with utmost happiness and I'm always glad to help out everyone in any way I can. I'll cherish them for as long as I can. A funny story about the cake mix and the pie filling. They're slightly larger than what the recipe calls for. The pie filling can is 21 ounces and the cake mix box is 18.25 ounces. A little more to go around LOL :). Brad AKA Moonwolf

I used to use MasterCook. But now just copy and paste a recipe or type one in a Word document and save to my portable drive, similar to lisbet saving to CDs. Each category has its own folder and then other folders within the main category folder; for example, I have a main folder labeled Sweets, inside that folder is a folder for Cakes and within that folder is a folder for Cakes from Scratch, Cakes from Mixes, Cheese, Fruit. Then there are other folders within the Sweets folder: Pies (and within that a folder each for Cream, Fruit, Nut, etc. In the Vegetable folder, there are individual folders for Beans, Peas, Potatoes, Tomatoes, Eggplant, Crucifers, etc. You get the idea. Though this sounds cumbersome, it really isn't once the folders are set up, and it makes it very easy for me to locate a recipe.

salt and pepper a chicken breast you can pound out the breast and grill in a grill pan . serve sauce on the side or spoon it over the chicken. for vegetable, string beans steamed then spoon some sauce over sprinkle with some cheese. this is one of my go to simple dinners. i can't help you on the freezing, i've never done it.
