For those Yankee candle fans, you might want to check out this website for My Maryland Candles. Last fall I ran across their table at an arts a crafts festival and bought as many as I could carry. The scents are so wonderful and in my opinion better than Yankee. Here's their homepage link below. When you click on candles it will show you the sizes. Click on one of the sizes and then there is a drop down where they list their many scents. My favorite is called "Indian Summer". Well, we've exchanged family presents and I got an absolutely GORGEOUS!! sapphire ring and pendant from my AMAZING husband! And it came with the most adorable panda bear with it's baby on it's back! A new manicure set and lots of hand lotions, the really deep moisturizing ones and a new sweater from my sister in law. And I got a new black Stetson hat from Santa and I'd already gotten my new digital camera from DH a month ago :) Oh and my little boys got me a really precious keyring with the word Mother on the front and a wonderful saying on the back! What a haul!! I'm finishing up the dressing while I get dressed, and we're going to Cliff's Mom's for Christmas dinner and to exchange gifts with his Mom and Stepfather and Brother & family. I'll get a picture of the jewelery to post and show off! I'm thrilled! No man in my life has EVER bought me jewelery as a gift! And neither of my ex husbands would have chosen something so absolutely perfect for me! Especially not all on their own as Cliff did! Hehehe.. can you tell I'm happy? No word from Bunny yet, but since she's been so quiet, I'm hoping for the call soon and will post ASAP! But I know she wasn't feeling well the other day, not the baby, just not feeling well. All the money we spent on Peppermint oil over the years! Darn. Here I thought it was working and just above I thought maybe it was the construction on either side of us, but where were they getting in all of a sudden? Then it dawned on me that when we tore down the storage unit under the back deck last spring we found there were mice living in there. While hubby continued to work on removing everything in there, I went upstairs for some reason. Probably to wash up as I can only stand to feel so dirty before I have to scrub myself. When I came down I saw he had the basement french doors wide open. That may very well be when they got in. This weekend we'll get more mouse traps and set them up down there and hopefully that will get rid of the rest of them, if there are any left. I hope there aren't, but not taking that chance.

Haven't we all experiences some version of something in this story?! One of the main reasons I don't like Thanksgiving as a holiday, in general. Too many minefields. Most of our own making, but so it goes. Best to laugh about it.
