I don't see why white sinks in the next room, surrounded by matching granite would look bad with beige tub and toilet in their own room. The trouble I see is with having a door for children to open when they have not had the opportunity to wash their hands. I would imagine that children are not as expert with the art of TP use and might more often get their hands dirty. I would be teaching my children to never close the door all the way, so that they never have to touch the door handle. Or put a box of wipes in the toilet room for use when they need to wash their hands before they deal with their clothes, open the door and trot over to "a separate part of the bathroom." I just don't understand why people are taking the means for washing up so far away from the messy part of the bathroom!

Mapei Ultracolor "Chamois" is a winner in my opinion. We used it for Marazzi Merona Natural and it is the perfext happy medium to blend into the tile and let it shine. Anything much lighter or darker and the grout lines will command focus. Note: this stuff is extremely sensitive to water content. Take care to mix it properly and not overwash, otherwise it will dry lighter than you want (this happened to us in some spots). There's always grout colorant if this happens to you. I can relate to those who like all one color/tone inside and out but ask yourself what kind of feeling do you want to have and others to have when they see it and spend time on it? Something brown is outdoorsy and woodsy if you and your guests are nature people. Personally Id go with something with a reddish tone, hate to say Mahogany but have seen such called that. Red tones is warm welcoming and alive. Anything brownish or reddish is more neutral for furnishings accessories etc and a better match for feelings. Do you want a deck to just be there and to walk on or do you want to be inspired and pleased everytime you go outside and/or entertain?

Computer screens rarely convey colors accurately, but it is a pretty blue brick.
