That's funny. We have 2 of those lights next to each other and my husband says they look like boobs to him, I guess he's not the only one-LOL

I recently purchased lighting. I found it on lightingdirect, by I ended up buying it on eBay. I think it was CSN something or another. Much cheaper plus there was free shipping with no minimum.

Other than some already mentioned, I used lightingbygregory.com. and lightinguniverse.com. The good thing about lighting universe is that they have anything and everything. Literally they have $15 lights up to $50,000+ lights. However, the bad thing about them is also that they have anything and everything, and it can be a lot to sort through. If you have some ideas of what you want though (finishes, style, etc.) you can usually limit your search down to a reasonable quantity to look through. Their huge selection can make it a great place for looking though too. If you find some things that you like, you can make a list of saved favorites, so that you don't have to search again for them. Then you can search other sites for the item to compare prices. I've bought from them a time or 2 and had no complaints. Lighting by Gregory, if I remember correctly, is the place that will give you a better price than their online price if you call, it says something about it on their website - it's a little odd, but if you find what you like there it's worth a call.

The 'boob light' thing made me laugh because I knew exactly what you were talking about. When we were picking out lights for our house, I told both my husband and the lady who was helping us at our 1 and only local lighting store, that I refused to have any of those 'boob lights' that you see allover ANYWHERE in our house. No flush, or semi-flush or chandelier versions - NONE, and I think they thought I was nuts - LOL. Maybe I was extra sensitive to that because I was still nursing my youngest at the time! :-)

i read the term boob light somewhere online... and once i heard the term, it stuck! i cringe every time i see those lights...

We have a friend who is an exec at lighting firm. He calls 'em "nipple fixtures".

I found beautiful lights at Arcadianlighting.com but they pulled a bait-and-switch with one of our fixtures so I'd recommend that you stay away from them. The rest of the fixtures were very nice and installed easily, but their ethical lapse and subsequent mismanagement of the situation was too much to overlook!

If you like modern lights, I have bought from Lightology with great success. They really helped me figure out everything I needed for some complicated (to me) track lighting. I think both Lightology and Lighting by Gregory have light designers who help you, which I really liked when I had questions.

I ordered recently several fixtures from The Bright Spot. They were great, very easy to order from and have lots of nice things at reasonable prices, in fact couldn't beat their prices on what I ordered, either locally or other online sites! They also personally will email you right away if you send a question and some items have additional discounts, plus free shipping. Highly recommend them. One more addition for something very unique or custom made - www.ArtisanCraftedLighting.com. I have bought from this company before (they make other things as well - all with the theme of being artisan crafted, not "production" or made in a factory). Good honest folks and "real people" that answer the phone (and helpful too).
