The first stone is gorgeous. The last picture of stone is nice too.

Really depends on the colors in your house. #2, it's Bianco Antico, right? My personal favorite. I think it works best with your cabinets. The first one reads very creamy and brown to me, the BA looks more like gray/taupe family.

I like the first and the last best. The middle could be very dramatic too, depending on how white the white in it is. I'd pick the one which has a white picking up the shade of your cabs.

I agree with Susanka -- in the photos, it looks like the middle one best matches your white (and has the most white swirled through it). The first one seems too creamy, and overall very dark. Pictures don't always tell the whole story, though.

Personally, I like the drama of the second piece. I think it will play well against your dark island cabinet base, too.

But then I started to wonder what your floors are going
to be, what color stain?

If they are leaning toward the dark brown and warm rich
chestnut than 1# might be stunning. If they are going to be
a rich dark, black ebony stain I would say go for #2.

#3 has great personality too. Not sure how it will look
chopped up of if it is just for the island.

My vote is for # 3 ~ are you doing same for perimeter and island?

#2 or #3. I think I like #3 the best for your kitchen. #1 is going to be too overbearing. Someone else asked, and I would also like to know, what are the floors going to be?

Hands down, I think #2 will look absolutely gorgeous both with the white cabs and your stained island!

I also vote for #2 - what is the name of the stone? My kitchen will have similar color cabinets - white perimeter and walnut stained island. I haven't picked my exact granite yet, but want something similar to #2. My second choice would be #1. #3 to me looks a little to creamy with your white cabinets. It doesn't really contrast or blend.

The thing is that all 3 will probably look great in your kitchen. Its all a matter of taste and you need to decide which you want to look at when you walk into your kitchen every day.

Having seen others in the FKblog...#2...or if #1 is only for the island ...then introduce something very quiet (more solid color) for the perimeter...All of that being said...Go with your first love - it is hard to take back a first impression! Good luck!~

The critical question: What are the floors going to be? You are asking us to pick something when we don't have enough information.

Do you want to head for the cool drama of monochrome: white cabinets, granite #2 (which is stunning), and grey tile on the floors?

If you get #2 and have warm mid-tone wood floors, it will look awkward and you will regret it.

Since your floors are going to be lighter brown I say
instead of 2# as my original vote. Go for 1#
The browns of the floor and island will come alive
with the browns on that slab.

I like #3 very much.

I think #1 seems too dark and #2 seems too gray with your island cabinetry. The third choice has warmth and variation that will tie it all together. It is always difficult to tell in photos though.

I realize we are probably only confusing you more. :) I agree with the others who have posted that you should chose the one that speaks to you.

On my monitor, the best combo is #2.

#3. One is too dark and #2 is too gray for the darker cabs. #3 is perfect.

Number one will be fabulous with the island but not so with the white cabinets. I have the number one granite(I think). I don't see it with the white. I think number 2 will look good with the cabs and not so much with the island. Number three is the best choice for both island and cabs but I am sure there may be something even better out there for both. How exciting to choose, huh?

This is like asking which dress you should wear to dinner tonight! There is no real right or wrong answer -- only the one you WANT to wear.

While I love #2 in general, since you have a "warm" island, I stick with my choice of #3. If your island were white like the perimeter cabs, I would definitely say #2. (Esp since your floors will be just a bit lighter than the island.)

i love all of them. i originally wanted the delicatus white, but the slabs i've seen in person are all reading peachy to me (pic #3). so then i was sold on the bianco antico (#2) but dh likes #1 and i like it a lot too.

Without seeing the floor, I would vote for #1. It is stunning and unusual. #2 is very pretty, but more commonly used and it is hard to tell from my monitor whether it would go with the island. I would wait to decide until the floor is stained

#2 looks like a great choice with your cabinets - although all are striking.

I have Bianco Antico (#2) and there's lots of espresso brown in our slab. It doesn't "read gray" at all...the mica and cinnamon will go great with your colors. Go for it!

Actually I think to use any of the three everywhere - perimeter and island - would be way too wild for me. I'd like to see a calmer choice for the perimeter and one of the three beautiful stones you've pictured for the island. Although the first stone is stunning, I think the cabinets are too white for the stone. However it would be spectacular with your dark wood island - very warm and elegant.

Bianco antico (#2) looks awesome with white and brown cabinetry. So elegant. But everyone else is right - go with what you love. All of them are nice, but I'm partial to #2.

srg...When I first responeded to your question I was wondering if #3 was Del White. I didn't recognize it because that slab is reading very peachy. Mine doesn't at all. One slab place tried to tell me that Kodiak was Del. White. Kodiak has a lot of peach in it.

Can you continue looking, or are you up against a deadline?

Have you looked at a granite called White Spring? It does not have as much black and grey as the Bianco Antico.

Upon second look, the Delicatus White slab you have pictured does have a peach tone--I would also stay away from that one. Are there any different Delicatus slabs? (Regular Delicatus, not "Gold" or "White".)

You could also see if there is any Bianco Romano that does not have any of the red/purple dots in it. I think that would also look good.

Whichever you pick, your kitchen is going to look fabulous.

#2 has a more enduring look and it goes with anything. Besides that, it's hella sweet.

jb1176 - i have been told that the unwritten design rule is 3 different elements at most...2 colors for the cabs, 1 countertop. or 1 color cabs, 2 diff countertops. i think 4 elements would be too much. i'd probaby pick a quieter slab of the bianco for the perimeter and a dramatic one for the island.

i am up against a deadline and i've checked other granite yards for other delicatus slabs...none looked as good as some i've seen on here.

srg...just want to offer to you this...Do you have access to Arizona Tile? All the Del. White I saw at their yards were pretty neutral..No Peach...The yard I was at specifically was in Ontario, Calif.

Other than that, I think BA is great and was always a consideration for me as well.

I love the first one. I would put that on your island and maybe black on the perimeters.

I am a marble / soapstone person. Would you consider one of the granites for the dark wood island and a solid soapstone for the perimeter? that is one of my favorite looks.. I didnt get to so 2 different countertops since I dont have an island

All are beautiful. I just wish I had 17 kitchens to use all the stone I love. But, I would go with number 2. I love the gray/taupe colors personally, but it is more than that. Number one does nothing for the white cabinet -- it doesn't have the stark contrast of a soapstone or AB and doesn't have any white to play off of. The cabinets just look flat. On the island, #1 would blend with the color of the cabinet, brown on brown, versus the compliment that #2 would do for both cabinet colors. Number three is really blush - I would stay away from that - it doesn't do anything for either cabinet color.

Again, you are picking from three beautiful natural stones, so you can't go wrong. Which one do you love first thing in the morning, which one will you love in 10 years, not always the same... :)

Numero dos! Love how it looks with teh white cabinets.

I really like #3. very interesting colors going on in the granite. pulls together the island, appliances, cabinets and has warm gold tones in it. That is my vote.

I would go with number 3 definitely, however, number 1, while dark has all of the right colors for your cherry island and brown floors. Number 2 is too gray.
