I'm whipping up a dinner for 30 of my closest family members, LOL. We're doing the standard Thanksgiving fare plus some non-traditional family favourites. I've (with a surprising amount of help from my children) already made three pumpkin pies, scalloped carrots, sweet potato casserole and the stuffing, plus peeled the potatoes. Assorted family members are bringing rice rolls, perogies, taco salad, a ham, buns and pickles. I'm sure we'll have plenty of food. I love filling my home with my family! Happy Thanksgiving! Carrie

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We did our turkey dinner last night over at my sons and DIL.s It was just us and our two sons and their partners - all in our bubble. We had lots to be thankful for this weekend. We lost our house in a fire on August 31 (and our two kitties) but we are so thankful for friends and especially family who have rallied around us with love and support.

Yes- hope you all enjoyed! When I was working, I dealt a lot with our Canadian office so I was very aware of holidays. Now that I'm retired, I honestly didn't remember ( I didn't even realize today was a holiday of sorts here). I actually had emailed someone I worked with (she 's Canadian) with whom I keep in touch just to catch up. She wrote back and only THEN did I realize what yesterday was. Oops.
