The camera I mentioned takes video as well. A lot of video too. I take videos of my daughter all the time, and upload them onto private youtube for her great grandma to see. My camera is red. They have an option for automatic shooting where you dont play with any settings besides zoom/flash. Then they have a setting one one up where you can change a few more settings. Then a more advanced setting where a lot of settings can be changed. The link says its $300, but it isnt. I bought mine through Wal Mart on sale in Feb. I dont see them there anymore though. You can buy them online though. The camera has a child or adult face detection mode, smile shutter (neat where it will automatically take photos everytime someone smiles). The smile shutter can also be adjusted for the level of smile needed to snap the shot. It also has Backlight, Backlight Portrait, Twilight, Twilight Portrait, and Twilight using a Tripod. Those are more of the settings on the camera. Either the twilight or the backlight option can make a photo taken in pure darkness, light like taken in the day. Standard Scene modes include Beach, High Sensitivity, Landscape, Snow, Soft Snap, Twilight, Twilight Portrait, Fireworks, Smile Shutter, and Underwater. The Sony W170 Menu system gives you access to Twilight, Beach, Snow, Fireworks, and Underwater. The others are on the Mode dial. I laughed so hard using the creative effects to photos after you shoot using any of 10 editing functions, including: Trimming, Red-Eye adjustment, Soft Focus filter, Unsharp Mask, Cross filter, Partial Color filter, Fish-eye filter, Retro, Radial Blur and Happy Face (really funny). The Happy Face effect uses photo retouching to put a smile on faces, with smile levels adjustable from 1 to 5. Danielle

$30k is an insane cost for a bathroom so small. Even paying a contractor to do the work with modest finishes, but good quality, will run between $8k and $12k. Especially if the fixtures stay in the same location and only get exchanged for new. An architect is always a good investment. An architect will help you with design ideas, can curate material, fixture and finish choices based on your tastes and can oversee the work being done by the contractor to ensure that everything is done properly, up to code, and according to design. The average homeowner is not equipped to adequately oversee a contractor's work. I've had so many clients come to me after a botched renovation because they didn't understand the contractor was taking short cuts and it cost them thousands more to fix. All time and money that would have been saved had they had a professional licensed architect working for them and protecting their interests. Classic Comfort, de nada. You're very welcome. When I built my dream kitchen, which I sadly had to sell due to my divorce, I used the following: GE 5 burner gas range. It was not a continuous grate burner so it wasn't as easy to move pots and pans around but it worked. If I were to do it again, I would look at Induction but, then I would have to replace all of my cookware. And I have a lot of money in my cookware. My wonderful ex-wife let me keep all the kitchenware. I would go with gas again, and with a 5 or 6 burner on a continuous grate cooktop. And, a separate wok burner. If I could afford it, I would go with Thermador as I like their star shaped burner. I had a GE Double Wall Oven. Both were electric and convection. Gas is a moist heat due to it's combustion and most baking needs dry heat. I would go with it again. And, I would look at a double door like the one above. Blodgett or similar. It makes more sense. I have OTC/OTR microwaves. I had the microwave in a cubby but it wasn't near the cooking area in that house. I would look at a drawer micro or mount it in a cabinet mid height. I would NOT get a Double Oven where one is a microwave. I only had one dishwasher in the old house. I would have two dishwashers in the new kitchen. One a standard dishwasher and one a drawer unit for quick wash like glasses, utensils, but NEVER knives. Knives need to be out of the way but accessible. In the old house, I just had them in a block. I know have them on the wall on a magnetic bar designed for knives. Much better. Another thing I would do in my new dream kitchen would be to move as much stuff off the counters as possible. And have more plug-ins. And more lighting. Those are my thoughts, from an amateur chef who has had recipe's published in popular magazines.

I love my iPhone 10. I think it has amazing optics and settings for what it is. For travel photos it's perfect. The HDR quality is amazing, and it is pretty consistent about its abilities. But it has its limitations. I also love my old Nikon D700 DSLR, probably more for sentimental reasons than for anything else. The newer DSLR's have more capability. I took all of these photos this morning. The iPhone 10 can do this, which I think is AMAZING for the tiny little lens. The D700 can do this: OR this: The iPhone does this, which is a bit of over-enhancement of the colors and contrast and you can see quite a bit of lens distortion (see how the gravel in the foreground seems to stretch?) and the very deep depth of field (DOF). I don't know if the newer iPhones allow for manual DOF. The DSLR has a bit more realistic color, and an adjustable DOF. Here I focused on the rear flowers, and adjusted the DOF so the foreground flowers are blurry and the background is a little blurry. I could have set the camera to have more vibrant color and sharper contrast to have a photograph that pops more, like the iPhone, or I could adjust it in Photoshop or even Photos. Also, you can see that the framing is different, because of the wide angle of the iPhone lens. One more example, what you prefer is just a matter of taste. Again, I could have put on a lense and adjusted the DOF and exposure to create a photo similar to the iPhone's, but it would have taken time and effort, vs. point and shoot. With the iPhone, you can't get the narrow DOF, unless in portrait mode, which has programming specifically for face sizes and doesn't work with small flowers. I could have adjusted the iPhone shot manually to expose the buds better, but I wanted to show the point and shoot capability. iPhone 10: DSLR: Helen could probably expound upon this more.
