Another good garden for a kid is a "salad garden" from seeds. let him plant a row of lettuce and one of radishes. He'll have an edible crop by June, and you can help him make a simple salad dressing, oil vinegar, water, salt pepper and sugar to taste.

sandiefl, yes, yes. I thought it was running up and down the stairs changing beds. But it has left me tired. oh my god, I'm so glad you posted this. I'll be sweating, then not even 3 minutes later, I'm cold. So I have blankets beside me and I'm constantly putting them over me then kickng them off. Did you have radiation? I thought it was the left over affects of the radiation. I'm going to my oncologist and breast surgeon on Aug 2 and 3. They are the best of the best. They are in NYC. I don't mean to say that every doctor in NYC is the best, but, really, these guys are the best. honestly. When I go in August, I will get it out of him. Yep....you answered most of your own questions! :-) * Use a slightly weak Dirtex solution with a m/f cloth or sponge when cleaning. * In this case, do a light rinse & wipe it dry with a good m/f. * Next day (to ensure COMPLETE dryness), yes....do your 220 sanding. Just sand to "evenly dull". * Tack-cloth away all the dust. * With this excellent prep, priming isn't mandatory! * Now.... consider a cabinet-type paint. These level a little better. * If you're FUSSY about smoothness, you could do a couple coats of a high-build primer, & LIGHTLY sand that before final paint.
