Yes, I'd like them a little better if the handle were in "the right spot", but -- honestly -- if you hadn't pointed it out, I wouldn't have noticed it, especially if I were seeing it in the context of the whole house /not just a close-up of one door. Case in point: I grew up in an old farmhouse with typical old-house oddities. I knew we had lovely glass doorknobs (except my closet door), but I never once realized they were extra-low until my mother pointed it out during a re-model.
