Hattie, I have a friend in west Knoxville who has been alternating Avid and Cygon on her roses; her new infection rate isn't as high as it was at first, but she still looses roses to RRD. Her highest losses are in spring FWIW. Today we took out two. One, along the fenceline, I thought had come back healthy after removal of the sick part. The other I had tried to save with a single cane removal this spring. The later seems to be in a mite drop zone and I'm going to have to rethink how to rose garden there. (It's the one that gives me most joy because it's the one I've worked on the most-full view of the kitchen (And it's and apricot, orange and light lavender. Golden Uniocorn would look so good there. drewsmaga we are still getting 24/7 coverage on our Texas news station I think the mass media isn't covering it because they can't find any kind of issue to exploit like the they did with Katrina. Here in Texas most of the people are helping each other and the non-gvt places are doing most or almost all of the care as to food etc FEMA has and is sending in truckloads of water, ice and MRE's but it is the Red Cross Salvation Army and units from different local and out of town church groups who have been providing hot meals and comfort Local YMCA's are offering a free shower and internet connection to those who need it. There is a problem regarding those who need help ala food stamps etc Many are walking away with around $14 from them to help out.over 500 people have camped out overnight waiting so they would be first in line. They have spent most if not all their money evacuating and have nothing left. while power is getting back on not all communities have it We are all grateful for the out of town help ala power and utility companies who have sent in help I also think this will be a test example in the long run as to how cities go about honing their disaster plan in case of an attack or some other disaster. I can't get any info as to how my NE Texas city is prepared or what plans they have.

Yep, that's the way they look while being dug. Ours was dug almost 4 years ago, and I still remember the fright of the digging. What did your dh find online about helping the pond hold water? Ours leaked down when it was first dug, my brother told us what to get to sprinkle in the pond to help hold water. I can't remember the name of it now, but will find out if you want me to. Of course, it would've been much better to put the stuff in it before adding water, but my dh seems to do everything backwards! LOL
