I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but it's an idea. I have a hard time with pages like this when I sort of have a several page theme going, but don't really have any pre-made stickers, titles, or anything that fit the theme. I think that the CM basic layouts with the "shortcuts" stips of wavy paper and triangles in maybe blues, aqua, or varying shades of green and brown might work for a coherent theme throughout the book. They'd be generic enough to go from beginning to end without detracting from each phase of the process. If you wanted to dress it up a little bit, you could use the punch shapes (squares, rectangles, circles) and stickers for each phase to say something like "STEP 1 ...dig a hole". I probably wouldn't try to incorporate artwork unless you had something like cute stick people wearing hardhats doing the appropriate work and have those those little balloon thoughts coming out of their mouths. My family built one when I was in high school. We did everything ourselves except dig the hole. It sounded fun for a while and then we learned we had to clean it everyday. We are not yet thinking to go into scrapbooking business now, but I have 2 friends who try to let to know scrapbooking in our area. They teach and they have many people interested (about 50 ) and it is growing up every day. It is a first step... they had papers on local news and one of them will have a broadcast program on a local radio by the end of march. we 'll had a demonstration day in a craft shop in april, I made my site, but it is still local. It is why we try to find french people in other part of France. One of my friend will organise scrapbooking week-end for people coming outside from Lyon very soon, but we need to have a real scrapbookers community before to do a real bussiness. but maybe things can go very fast. For my own, I keep doing my computer engineer job and scrapbooking at nigth! Thank you for your advice :-)

I guess it depends on what you used for the background of your page. If you stuck your bits and pieces onto the 'cardstock' that comes with the album, then certainly use the back of it. I tend to use other paper for the background, nearly always a sheet of coloured cardstock. Then I slip in between the album page and the page protector. Then I do the same for the other side. I wouldn't use both sides of the coloured cardstock though, because I don't think it is sturdy enough. Looking at the finished product, it is usual to open the album and see a left hand side and a right hand side. How you get to that is entirely up to you. You may choose whatever look you want to. I am partial to the K & Co books (Joann's/Michaels. Oh and Target has a derivitive of K&Co, I think it is Kay). They are great quality and nice designs with coordinating paper and stickers. I also like the 12x12 "leather" albums from CostCo. For just getting started, I agree with Steph about what to get: Paper trimmer (I like the 12" Fiskars slicer) Adhesives (I like the "splits"--little square stickers in a box) Cardstock and patterned papers Circle Cutter (mine is Cre@tive Memor!es) Pens for journaling. I love to scrapbook but I have been so busy I haven't worked on my books in almost 2 years. Hoping to get back into it soon. Good luck!
