Each pedestal is engineered for its complementing product. Hard to tell what the outcome might produce with a mix-n-match strategy. You'll likely have to fabricated a triangular corner gusset of some sorts--at all four corners--that can accommodate the connection(s) and secure the connections with a proper bolt, nut and washer assembly; including the amount of necessary fasteners (fasteners are rated for what they are chosen to perform). The gusset material is important and you can see what your big box hardware store has to offer in the way of Simpson Strong-Tie that might be used as base to start your fabrication. However, although repurposing the pedestals results in out-of-pocket savings, the final results might be disastrous in real-life and cause life-and limb consciences. I would hate to learn that the pedestals crumpled under prolonged stress at some part of the pedestal. People are free to do as they please, but my reference to the Simpson Strong-Tie products is for a reason: to see how engineering is heavily involved in these products.

It isn't done yet because we are in stall mode right now! The subway tile was always part of the plan because I love them so much. I thought perhaps I would use a grey grout to tie in the cabinets. We'll see-- I'm going to give it another couple of weeks to think about. Thanks for all the feedback!

Thanks, everyone! The rocker (and its sister chair) belonged to my grandmother and we just refinished them. I like the idea of a day bed facing the living room but they may be too deep. I've been looking in antique stores for a while and haven't found anything the right proportions. Maybe my husband can make something if I can buy interesting carved legs (open underneath so the radiators aren't covered). And add a lot of pillows and cushion bottom. I would love to put a kilim on the floor but we currently have a litter box under the desk and it gets messy. Our sweet, old Mabel really needs that location so for now it stays. We also need better lighting. The overhead ceiling fan light isn't good for nighttime reading. And 2 of those chairs aren't comfortable which is primarily why the room doesn't get used.

It looks like the previous owner took plain white melamine cabinets and put some sort of wallpaper or Contac paper on the surfaces. If the cabinet boxes are in decent shape, these would be good candidates for re-facing, i.e. replace the door and drawer fronts. Think about putting in glass door cabinets on top with some interior lighting for a pretty feature. Not sure how to address the undercab fridge; I'm betting that might have to be replaced entirely, unless you can find a replacement door for that model from the manufacturer. I'd swap out the sink/faucet for stainless or polished chrome, then put in a nice tile backsplash, but remove the 4-inch counter surround. The countertop is unobjectionable; about as neutral as you can get. Nothing wrong with it, and would be easy to find tile to coordinate.
